Auburn is coming off an overtime win over Missouri that was only secured with a fumble on the goal line. Controversial Auburn coach Bryan Harsin could use another win to take some heat off. He is expected to start quarterback Robby Ashford for the second game in a row.
Auburn has scored just six points in total in the second half of the past two games.
This is only the third career visit to a Southeastern Conference stadium for freshman LSU coach Brian Kelly.

IMPORTANT MATCHUP: LSU’s defense is coming off its first shutout since 2018, with New Mexico coming in 88 yards and two first downs in a 38-0 win, a week after the Tigers held Mississippi State’s “Air Raid” attack to 16 points. Boutte burned Auburn for 99 yards on the opening drive last season, including a 31-yard touchdown one game after the offense lost 22 yards on a fumble. Boutte finished the game with 127 yards on six catches.
Auburn: RB Tank Bigsby wasn’t a big factor in the last three games, totaling 134 yards on 41 carries, an average of 3.3 yards. He opened with a 16-carry, 147-yard, two-touchdown try against Mercer. New starting quarterback Robby Ashford must be able to lean on Bigsby and Jarquez Hunter in the running game.
