10 Custom makeover

In previous updates, players could finally customize their character again after starting the game by going to their mirror in their apartment. This has been changed again to create a more immersive experience.

Players now go to the mirror to change only their hairstyle, which has had some new variants, as well as makeup. Ripperdocs can now be visited for reconstruction surgery, allowing a player to change the entirety of their V’s appearance, and it won’t cost a single eddie.

9 New Knife Categories

There has also been a late spring cleanup as CD Projekt Red has also rearranged their variety of melee weapons. With a wide variety of new melee weapons added with the Edgerunner update, the knife section has expanded to reveal many different types of knives.

To address the confusion some players may have about the differences between these weapons, the long knives category has been removed and replaced with the machete and axe categories. Both already have a decent amount of weapons in them.

8 Interesting arcade minigame

While it’s not really a big change, it did change what’s happening in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Any player who has walked the streets of Night City or owns any of the other apartments there will have noticed a familiar horse on an arcade machine.

Roach Race is an entertaining mini-game for players to enjoy, where they have to dodge obstacles while Roach tries to run away from Geralt. A high position on the in-game leaderboard also gives the player the chance to win cash prizes as well as other items. The game can also be installed on a player’s real mobile, although the highest scores are not linked together.

7 View clothes before you buy them

Fashion is another important element that surrounds Cyberpunk 2077with so many clothing stores in Night City that offered players different styles to dress up their V. It was strange that players couldn’t see what it would look like on their character without buying it.

Well, wasting vortices is a thing of the past as players can now see what a piece of clothing looks like on their character without having to buy it. When you preview an item, a small window opens with the V of a player wearing that item, and then they can decide whether to buy it or not.

6 Replace some benefits

Update 1.5 saw the perk trees in cyberpunk change drastically, as perks were replaced with others or moved to different sections, and also renamed to better suit their purpose. The recent update saw even more changes to these perk trees, but on a smaller scale than before.

Further changes have been made to the Ninjutsu tree, such as the two new perks, Corrosive Poison and Critical Antidote. These have replaced Hasten the Inevitable and Neurotoxin advantage. As well as rebalancing some others.

5 Sleep is no longer random

Another seemingly minor change made to the game is that V is allowed to sleep in their house. Players looking for an immersive RPG experience may have used the bed to skip time to spend time in Night City during the day.

However, prior to 1.6 the time V was asleep couldn’t be changed, this has since been changed to work as the wait timer so players can decide how much beauty sleep their V gets. Finally allowing this tortured mercenary to get just one hour of sleep or a full twenty-four hour sleep.

4 Even more functions in photo mode

Once again, players have been given a variety of new poses to use in the game’s photo mode. This time, however, it doesn’t include a V, but instead focuses on the little hairless cats players can find after convincing it with cat food.

Nibbles is an adorable addition to any player’s apartment, although it can now be made ten times better as players can now freely place Nibbles wherever they want for photos. There are some cute poses with hilarious names for players to test their photography skills.

3 Achievement Mode for Xbox Series S

While many other platforms have already seen the presence of a performance mode, Xbox Series S finally got one during the Edgerunner update. Players enjoying their copy of cyberpunk on the Xbox Series S can find this setting by going to their in-game video settings and then graphics mode.

2 Cross-progress saves

Transferring saves is also now finally available across platforms rather than just across generations Cyberpunks inclusion of Cloud saving. Now players who want to experience their save from their PS4 can now also enjoy it if they also have the PC version of the title, as well as any other platform.

As long as a player is logged into their GOG account in the game, the player’s last save will also be saved in the cloud for them to use. This can become incredibly useful as players may be starting to transition from the older generation consoles, but still want to keep their saves.

1 Create outfit presets in the wardrobe

By far one of the biggest and most requested changes has finally arrived in the game in this update. As mentioned, fashion has always been an important and crucial part of cyberpunkbut with the need for better armor, this made for some pretty embarrassing outfits.

Players can now go to their apartment wardrobe and set outfit presets based on garments they have unlocked. This means that V can still have the best armor while looking stylish and allowing players to play their V however they want with transmog.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
