Welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I, @zombiepie, am honored to be your host as we look back on the best community-created efforts from the past week. It’s been a whirlwind of news and content this week, and I think that’s reflected in this issue of Spotlight. However, let’s head over to the newly reformatted “News” section of the Spotlight to see what great things the site, the staff, and the community have been up to lately.

News

earlier in the week, Giant Bomb was temporarily read-only to allow the engineers some database migration work. Obviously, the site has reverted to its original state, but if you notice any technical issues, features, or tools that are not accessible to you, please shout in the thread announcing the event.

If you’re wondering if Arcade Pit doesn’t air an episode the week of 9/4 to 9/10, the position has taken a week off and will be back soon!

For those of you who like VTubers, there was a fun moment when Kson Responded To Jeff Gerstmann, Brad Shoemaker And Ben Pack Talking About Fallout 76. To add context, this was part of the response stream as they watched Internet Historian’s ”The Fall of 76”. That said, this image definitely messed with my brain:

This is real. It really happened. Help out.
This is real. It really happened. Help out.

Finally, for those of you watching AEW, you may have noticed during All Out that the hard camera featured a person wearing a New Era Giant Bomb t-shirt at ringside. That person was Justin Vachon and he is actually a senior product designer for the site! If you don’t follow him on Twitter, keep in mind that he gives nice updates from time to time on what the Red Ventures design team has planned for the site. Also huge respect for him for repeating the site!
