The MENA game industry is booming
We recently took a closer look at the gaming market in Jordan, and here’s how to sum it up: The MENA region, and Jordan, is one of the most promising locations for the future of gaming that we should keep our eyes on. The MENA game market is expected to reach more than $5 billion by 2025, and it is the fastest growing game market in the world for a reason.
Today, the MENA region’s home market is the fastest growing in the world, with over 377 million estimated players – almost as many gamers as all of Europe combined (386 million) and far more than US (210 million). In addition to this massive global success, more and more local development talent is germinating in the area and creating for the local players, with Tamatem, one of Jordan’s leading developers just founded in 2013, and now worth a total of more than $80 million, while specializing in locating internationally known games for Arabic speaking users.
The games sector in the MENA region is only growing, and Jordan is at the heart of it all – helping to make vital connections with the leading players in this field will make a world of difference when it comes to doing business here, and there is no place to do it like Pocket Gamer Connects Jordan in November.

The conference will take place at the historic King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center Managed by Hilton, approximately 30 minutes from the capital Amman and right on the Dead Sea. It is an incredible destination and it is very easy to get to the location upon arrival from the capital Amman. The journey is less than 45 minutes by car from the city and less than 60 minutes from Queen Alia International Airport.
Buses are provided for our participants from Amman. If you live or work in the city itself, you can take a free bus from King Hussein Business Park in western Amman directly to the Dead Sea conference. These leave in the morning and return at the end of the day.
If you are traveling on your own, you will find taxis and buses readily available to take you from the city or the airport to the resort.
