A new video from Genshin Impact shows a player exploring one of Sumeru’s most mysterious locations, including a giant doom guard.
Genshin ImpactIt’s world is made up of seven different nations and the game introduced an interesting pattern of adding one major new region per year. At the moment, players can explore only three main nations: Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma.
The live streaming event for Genshin Impact Update 2.8 has officially confirmed that the arrival of another nation called Sumeru is coming. Recent leaks and rumors have revealed additional information about this magical region.
ONE Genshin Impact The leaker named GI_DivineGaze has revealed an interesting video showing a player exploring a giant ruins guard. The sleeping creature is so large that it can be recognized on the recently leaked Sumeru map. There is no information on its origin yet, but one of the upcoming updates will certainly go into more detail about this location. The Ruin Guards are ancient humanoid war machines said to be remnants of a lost civilization.
The video is over two and a half minutes long and the player has yet to explore the entire Ruin Guard that speaks to the size of this location. Various responses in the comments section claim that this massive machine was likely part of the Old World, which is an era where dragons known as the Seven Sovereigns were lords of the world. Despite Genshin Impact confirmed the arrival of several new characters, players seem to be more excited about Sumeru’s story.
Numerous comments claim that they are surprised how HoYverse always manages to exceed expectations with each new update that arrives. Recent Genshin Impact Rumors have revealed that Sumeru will likely be bigger than Liyue, which will make it the biggest major region in the game. However, it should be noted that players will likely have to wait for some additional updates for the entire core region to unlock.
The game’s official story revealed that the new region is filled with mysterious forests and deserts, but so far Sumeru’s official videos have only revealed the rainforest portion of the map, meaning that deserts will likely arrive a few updates later. Recent map leaks are already suggesting that the southwestern part of Sumeru will include a massive desert. This has led most players to believe that one of the main goals of Sumeru’s entire story will be to bring the deserts back to life.
Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5, with a Nintendo Switch version also in development.
