Reddit user ecola_sup recently posted a video on Skyrim subreddit that shows players how to join The Companions Guild in Whiterun, which allows them to steal valuable items from a chest without getting caught. Fans of The Elder Scrolls franchise has done this in Skyrim for years, although it has always been incredibly tedious. Previously, players would have to walk through the walls of Whiterun from outside the city before they could jump and crawl across the city to the chest. Ecola_sup did this with just an iron pot.
In fact, this new way of stealing items from Companions seems much more effective. The chest is hidden under the blacksmith’s forge in Whiterun. The Reddit video shows that when pushing a pot through the stone around the forge, it is possible for players to simply fall into the chest. This allows players to easily steal from The Companions like never before, something not possible with other guilds like the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim. In fact, this strange strategy for faster theft can make The Elder Scrolls 5 simpler for players in the early levels. Having access to good gear makes the title infinitely easier at first.
