in the time since Elden ring released, the game’s community paid many real-life tributes to him. While these include custom statues and item replicas, a Elden ring player went out of their way to recreate Tarnished as they played.
Nonetheless Elden ring‘s allows players to make their Tarnished look exactly like them if they so choose, FromSoftware’s latest release also offers multiple types of armor and hat parts to choose from. While remaking some of this gear in real life would certainly take some effort, Reddit user RealCaptainSteel was clearly up to the challenge. They made and used their own Jar helmet, with the piece being sewn together.
Seeing an image of this threaded Jar helmet would have been fun enough on its own, but RealCaptainSteel went the extra mile by making a video complete with the suit. In the clip, the rest of the costume can be seen, which includes a gray robe and a fancy robe. A few dark pants are also used, with everything catering to the overall aesthetic and making the Jar’s detailed helmet even better. While the costume is worthy of praise, so is the player’s video editing.
the fun Elden ring clip shows the Redditor activating a Site of Grace, with the discovery message appearing on the screen as soon as they move their hand in front of it. Like this costume, the Site is obviously homemade, with a yellow light surrounded by a few pieces of gold and gray paper. Alongside this Site of Grace discovery, the player breaks several pieces of furniture, with a chair and cat tree being toppled during the clip.
Other funny moments in the video include a mug that says “I love Malenia”, although the highlight of the footage will undoubtedly come near the end. At one point in the clip, the Redditor sits at the Site of Grace to rest, seemingly passing the time while someone else appears in the background. After RealCaptainSteel’s friend finishes fixing all the broken furniture, the Redditor stands up from the Site and rolls on the floor, an act that causes all items around him to fall apart. A big nod to FromSoftware’s mechanics of rolling on items to break them, it’s no surprise that the Elden ring fanbase responded well to the clip.
This clever video is more than worthy of the 2,500 upvotes it has received so far, and we hope it inspires other players to make similar videos. With so many unique sets of Elden ring armor, there are lots of designs that would be fun to see in the real world – and lots of mechanics to play with.
Elden ring is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
