Elden Ring, the latest soulslike RPG from FromSoftware, expands on the classic Dark Souls formula with a sprawling open world and an increased focus on crafting and unusual builds. One of the most powerful builds in Elden Ring right now is the Bleed build, which focuses on maximizing Blood Loss buildup.
One of the best Bleed weapons in Elden Ring, particularly for characters with high Strength and Faith, is the Halo Scythe. The Halo Scythe is a Reaper-style weapon and offers both a long reach and an impressive Blood Loss buildup. However, actually finding a Halo Scythe can be tough, as they're a rare drop from one of Elden Ring's most dangerous monsters.
Where to Find the Halo Scythe in Elden Ring
There are only a few different locations in Elden Ring where players can find a Halo Scythe, as the weapon is only dropped by Lesser Cleanrot Knights.
Specifically, there's a 2% chance that any Lesser Cleanrot Knight who is wielding a Halo Scythe will drop it on death. This low drop rate can be improved through items and consumables that boost Discovery, like the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot.
The easiest place to grind for the Halo Scythe is in the Heart of Aeonia in Elden Ring's Caelid region. There are many Lesser Cleanrot Knights in this zone that carry Halo Scythes, particularly those that patrol the area. The Knights that rise from the water are more likely to wield Cleanrot Spears instead.
