- Answers To Trickster Event Riddles
Gwent: Rogue Mage shakes up the traditional Gwent experience by introducing roguelike elements: taking various optional routes across the Continent, building a deck one random draft at a time, and dealing with a variety of Events that offer opportunities as well as risks.
Events are one of the most dynamic and transformative aspects of the game. Granting new cards, letting the player gamble with Energy, and letting the player trade treasures for unknown rewards--Events can make or break a run. One of the most complex Events is the Trickster, which offers a series of riddles. Here's everything the player needs to know about the Trickster event.
How The Trickster Works
Randomness is one of the best parts of roguelikes: it's what keeps the game interesting by switching things up every run. The player never knows the exact order of enemies, layout of maps, or distributions of treasures, so surviving until the end is always a unique challenge, which is why beginners need all the help they can get.
The Trickster Event is one of Gwent: Rogue Mage's best examples of the roguelike formula in action. As the players move across the map they can enter battle, claim treasure, access Places of Power, or start events. The player never knows which event will occur, and there's only a small chance of the Trickster appearing. Even when the Trickster Event does occur, the riddles he asks are random.
