Borderland 3 is also a sci-fi game, as it takes place on the planet Pandora in a post-apocalyptic setting.
The game is full of humorous characters, amazing twists and an action-packed adventure that players can only find in this franchise. Borderland 3 was released in 2020 for PlayStation 5 and is one of the first games on the console after launch.
9/10 Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
In the past five years, two Marvel superhero games have shocked the world. First, there is Marvel’s Spider-Manand then Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. While Spider-Man is a great sci-fi action game, it lacks humor. Hence, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy makes this list because of its comedic atmosphere and fun character.
In the game, players take control of Star-Lord as they venture across the universe and find a powerful artifact called ‘Eternity Forge’. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is an extremely beautiful game that everyone should experience on the next-gen consoles.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a 2022 title released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 5. It is part of the Lego series popular for its humor and comedy. In the past, Lego games were extremely faithful to popular universes such as DC, Marvel and Harry Potter.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a complete creative version of Skywalker’s adventure, with lots of little details and hidden secrets. It’s also a simple game, making it one of the fairest comedy sci-fi games on PlayStation 5.
7/10 Among us
Not expecting much Among us to gain the fame it did. In this era of shooters, the fresh concept really skyrocketed among players of all ages. Among us is an online multiplayer game focused on social play and catching the liar. The game takes place on a spaceship, where players complete various objectives while rouge trying to kill them.
In each round, players can call meetings to ask questions and find and kick out the real culprit. At the same time, rouge players will have to lie until they are the only ones surviving. The concept of the game and the art style is extremely nice. However, nothing beats the really hilarious chats people will have during meetings on the spaceship.
6/10 LEGO DC Super Villains
LEGO DC Super Villains is a comic sci-fi superhero game with many characters from the DC universe. It is an action adventure game similar to other Lego titles but offers a good multiplayer co-op mode. The game also allows players to create their own characters, which sets it apart from many other games in the franchise.
LEGO DC Super Villains is a PS4 game that is backwards compatible with PlayStation 5. However, players must have the latest system software to enjoy it. According to the official game page, there may be a few features missing from the PS5 version.
5/10 Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered
The Ghostbusters franchise is extremely popular for its supernatural horror comedies with a touch of science fiction. It is a well-known series of movies, shows and games that still exist after its founding in 1984. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is a game that is part of the same universe and follows the original cast as they capture ghosts and save the city from its terrible fate.
The remastered version of the game from 2019 is backwards compatible with the PlayStation 5. The only downside is that the system needs to be updated to play it.

3/10 Fortnite
When Fortnite first arrived in 2016, it was somewhat popular. However, the game has become a hub of content over the years. The popular Unreal Engine title is an online multiplayer game that is especially popular for its battle royale mode.
The game is currently available on almost every platform, including PlayStation 5. It also supports cross-platform play, meaning players can always expect huge lobbies full of players from different parts of the gaming ecosystem. Fortnite is also an extremely funny game because of ridiculous emotes and lots of weird skins.
2/10 Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about time
