Next week, 14 new games will launch for Xbox, including NBA 2K23, action-RPG Steelrising, the Pokemon-inspired creature collecting MMO Temtem, and Train Sim World 3.

Compared to the past two weeks, things have calmed down a bit for big name releases this week, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t interesting games ahead! Probably the most notable are NBA 2K23 and the new action-RPG Steelrising, both of which come out on September 8. But before that, on September 6, we have the adventure game Temtem, Disney Dream Light Valley and Train Sim World 3 for collecting creatures. Train Sim World 3 and Disney Dreamlight Valley are also joining Xbox Game Pass from day one.

From this page, you can view a game’s achievements list when it’s released, subscribe to a game for news updates, add them to your wish list, and even click through to the Microsoft Store to pre-order or purchase. Here’s a rundown of everything coming to the world of Xbox next week. Let us know in the comments which of these you plan on picking up!

DX Game Mode – Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One

Help Hoodie Girl fight MediaBall’s crazy ads! It’s a high score shooter where each loop increases the speed and difficulty!
A game in two parts: first make your way through a confusing maze of menus, then take to the skies as the tireless “Hoodie Girl” and blast deliberate ads into cold, hard cash!

==== WAIT, WHAT IS THIS? ====
Okay, so the actual shoot-em-up plays like this:
It is an infinite high score continuous game, with multiple game modes.
This is no ordinary shooter, the level structure is not like Ikaruga or Dodonpachi or most shmups.
Each of the 3 game modes has *one level*, but it changes with each loop.
The crazy thing is that every time you beat the level, the *speed of the game* increases. It gets pretty challenging on loop 5, and incredibly difficult on loop 8.

To help, there is a power-up called ‘Time Pulse’, in limited quantity. It temporarily slows down time and firing the enemy bullets during this time will zap them into money. And for every so many bullets you destroy in this way, you get a new Time Pulse! It’s good to get you out of trouble, and man, how hard it gets later.
Once you understand the flow of the loops, you’ll know when to spend your Time Pulse, and start figuring out how to link them, earn more, to progress.

The “Surprise” game mode is like a “rogue-like” where the layout of the level changes every time you play. This mode also has a lot of power-ups available, which makes it exciting to keep trying.
