Players can throw in different events two-point campus. Events are important for several reasons. They provide entertainment, which is important to keep students happy. Happy students are more likely to stick with their studies without dropping out, and they are more likely to succeed in their classes. They can also give certain improvements such as increased luck, movement speed and learning speed.

If players have a lecture hall, they can host movie events for students using the lectern. Movie events in two-point campus last 15 days, so it’s a fairly short activity to give students a boost of happiness. They vary a bit in both prizes and rewards, and it’s a good idea to have movie nights throughout the school year.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Funny movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20% happiness, entertainment
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost: $4,000

The Funny Film gives a decent boost to Happiness and provides entertainment. It’s one of the first movie events players unlock in the game, and it’s one of the cheaper options for keeping students happy (which is important: managing finances correctly is a big part of succeeding in two-point campus).

The movie itself is a silly slapstick comedy, and students will come away a little happier, so it’s a decent event to run when lecture halls aren’t being used for teaching purposes. This, and the Romantic Movie, is a cheap alternative to Student Union parties, and at 15 days in length, it doesn’t take up too much study time.

Romantic movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20% happiness, entertainment
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost: $4,000

The Romantic Film gives a good boost to Happiness and keeps students busy between classes. The story appears to be a conversation between a man and a woman while they are eating. What happens between them is a complete mystery as players don’t get to hear the storyline, but it seems to keep the students happy enough. (Players can always speed up time if they want to jump through.)

The romantic movie is identical to the funny movie in buffs, so players can alternate if they feel like it. Students won’t be bored seeing the same movie twice, so it doesn’t seem to matter.

Horror movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20 Happiness, Energy
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Event costs: $4,000

The horror movie offers a fun escape for overworked students, and it’s a good way to hold on when students start to get tired. Like the Comedy movie and Romantic movie, it gives a 20% boost to happiness, but it also provides energy. Energy is important and students need it to complete their studies. They usually restore energy by going to bed, but the Horror Movie can provide this instead.

It’s also pretty fun to watch students enjoy a terrifying movie about zombies.

western movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20% happiness, energy
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Event costs: $4,000

The western movie is identical to the horror movie when it comes to bonuses: students get 20% happiness and a decent boost of energy. It is a good event to organize when students are starting to get tired of juggling their studies, socializing and achieving their personal goals. It takes energy to handle long lectures and writing assignments.

It’s a generic cowboy movie, and students seem to enjoy it, judging by their applause at the end!

Action movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20% luck, +10% movement speed
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Event costs: $5,000

The action movie is slightly different from cheaper movies as it not only increases happiness but also adds a +10% improvement in movement speed. Those are decent bonuses, so it’s worth spending a little more to allow students to switch between classes faster. Movement speed is important because students who can squeeze into more activities are more likely to get good grades (and therefore more likely to graduate). This, combined with the Walking Club, can make a real difference to students moving around campus.

It’s also fun to watch, a strangely enchanting 15-day scene of a man wearing sunglasses on a motorcycle.

Sci-Fi Movie

  • Requirements: lectern
  • Rewards: +20% luck, +10% learning rate
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Event costs: $6,000

The Sci-Fi Movie has some of the most useful buffs players can get from movie events. It gives students the standard +20% happiness boost, as well as a +10% boost to their learning rate. The pace of learning is important for obvious reasons: students who want to do well must have a decent pace of learning to pass their classes. Learning speed can fluctuate and is affected by their mood, so this double boost is worth investing money in.

It’s the most expensive movie event, but it’s a good idea to shoot this movie if students need a boost in their studies. It contains, unsurprisingly, little green aliens.
