House of the Dragon has effectively re-ignited the Game of Thrones enthusiasm. Role-playing video games are undoubtedly the best place in the gaming medium to immerse yourself in these kinds of worlds. And there are several intriguing games for those who satisfy their thirst for dark fantasy.
In this list we do not have a ranking for these games. So there is no difference between the first and the last game. Have fun if you are one House of the Dragon or Game of Thrones fan.
1) Game Of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series
Game of Thrones story revolves around the Forrester family, who are not represented in the TV series House of the Dragon but was mentioned in a book by George RR Martin, A dance with dragons.
You may find it amusing because of the allusions to: Game of Thrones. Although the game has received mixed reviews, ardent fans still love the personal experience.
Developed by Telltale, this game is available on Android, iOS, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
2) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Since its release in 2015 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most attractive action role-playing games. As the war rages through the northern realms, you take on the most important contract of your life.
The Witcher: Wild Hunt is a story-driven open-world role-playing game set in a graphically spectacular fantasy universe with essential decisions and lasting effects.
Geralt of Rivia travels across the continent in search of his surrogate daughter before the titular and prophetic Wild Hunt captures her for her latent talents. And in the background political unrest and fighting rages. This way House of the Dragon fans will feel right at home.
3) Demon Souls
The PS3 Demon Souls by FromSoftware, the precursor to the Souls-esque subgenre, received positive reviews and became a cult in 2009. While the game may feel outdated and sluggish by today’s standards, PlayStation studio Bluepoint Games created a complete Demon Souls remake for the next generation.
Players take on the role of a hero to assassinate the corrupt kingdom of Boletaria and defeat the Ancient. They also save the country from a stifling deep fog.
4) Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War
The Lord of the Rings is a series that comes to mind when fans think of House of the Dragon. The trilogy of television episodes and movies is often compared because they both have related subjects, and both have swordsmen as their main characters and are fantasy stories.
One of the most excellent Lord of the Rings ever made video games is Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. It would be best if you started with Shadow of Mordor to play the games chronologically.
5) Dark Souls Trilogy

The Tolkien-esque world of Skyrim has a lot of intricate world-building to satisfy genre fans, even though the game isn’t set in a dark fantasy like HBO’s TV series.
Skyrim is more than a straight medieval fantasy title. And it has enough monsters to keep you interested for hours, including dragons, werewolves, giants, vampires and more.
7) Elden Ring
Elden Ringthe epic RPG from FromSoftware, will delight fans of House of the Dragon and A song of ice and fire. This world was created in part by the blockbuster team of game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and series author George RR Martin.
The story revolves around Tarnished’s protagonist who is called from exile to help restore the shattered Golden Order of the Gods. Elden Ring features set arguably the second highest standard for game design in the open world.
8) Dragon Age: Inquisition
The fantasy role play Dragon Age: Inquisition will take place in the land of Thedas. Tolkien’s Under the spell of the Ring trilogy and the dark/low fantasy of George RR Martin A song of ice and fire are merged with the environment of the game.
The land of Thedas is torn apart by a catastrophic event. Sky-darkening dragons cast a shadow over lands on the brink of anarchy. Magi begins a full-scale battle with the oppressive Templars. In this game, you and your allies restore order as you lead the Inquisition and hunt down the agents of chaos.
9) Divinity: Original Sin II
Divinity: Original Sin II is a turn-based combat and third-person shooter video game. The player takes on the role of a protagonist and a supporting cast of characters to fend off the monsters that invade the main world from the Void.
10) Kingdom Come: Liberation
Kingdom Come: Liberation is an RPG title with a strong narrative focus that takes you to the Holy Roman Empire on a grand journey. Invading troops must be defeated as you embark on quests that will change the course of the game and avenge the loss of your parents.
You end up with Lord Radzig Kobyla, who organizes a resistance against the invasion without a home, family or future. You are thrown by fate into a blazing civil war, where you take part in the battle for the fate of Bohemia. Players will discover the realism of the castles, forests, villages and other locations in medieval Bohemia.
