Sporting Kansas City wants to extend the club’s unbeaten run of six games and five home wins in the team’s home final against Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday. The Western Conference clash will be broadcast nationwide on FS1 and FOX Deportes with kickoff at 4:25 p.m. CT at Children’s Mercy Park. Local radio coverage will be available on ESPN Kansas City 94.5 FM (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish)

NDENBE AND TZIONIS ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY
Two Sporting Kansas City players have joined their national teams during the current FIFA period. Left-back Logan Ndenbe and the Belgium national under-21 men’s team take on France today at 2 PM Dutch time at the Stade du Hainaut in Valenciennes in preparation for the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2023. Winger Marinos Tzionis scored the winning goal for the Cypriot men’s team and will conclude the UEFA Nations League 2022-23 in Kosovo on Tuesday with kick-off at 1:45 p.m. CT at Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina.
SKC VISITS LOCAL SCHOOLS FOR RED CARD KC CAMPAIGN
Three Sporting KC players will be making special appearances at local high schools this week as part of the Red Card KC anti-bullying campaign launched by Sporting and Children’s Mercy. Cam Duke will visit Leawood Middle School on Monday, Khiry Shelton will speak with students at Harmony Middle School on Tuesday, and Jake Davis will attend a meeting at Pleasant Ridge Middle School on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Major League Soccer will publish the 2022 Year-End Awards vote on MLSsoccer.com. Voting begins on Friday at 11 a.m. CT for clubs, players and select media members to cast their vote before 4 p.m. CT on October 10. AT&T MLS Goal of the Year and MLS Save of the Year presented by Allstate will be administered by MLSsoccer.com via online voting open to fans October 12-14.
FIFA 23 RELEASE ON FRIDAY IN ADVANCE eMLS AMATEUR CUP
FIFA 23 will be available worldwide on Friday on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins Tuesday. Sporting Kansas City will compete in the eMLS Amateur Cup on October 13, with the overall national winner earning a trip to the MLS Cup.
SKC ACADEMY HOST DOUBLEHEADER ON SATURDAY
The Sporting KC Academy will continue the MLS NEXT 2022-23 season on Saturday as the Sporting KC U-14s and U-19s will host Solar SC in a doubleheader at Swope Soccer Village. STUDENTS ESSAY DEADLINE ON SATURDAY FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMIT
Sporting Kansas City will host the club’s inaugural High Performance Summit Nov. 11-13 at the Compass Minerals National Performance Center and Children’s Mercy Park. There are 150 spots available for the top, including five student sponsorships for undergraduate or graduate students majoring in exercise science, athletic training or a related field, who submit a 300-500 word essay by Saturday’s deadline.
