Today, the National Football League, the National Football League Players Association and StatusPRO, Inc., a sports technology and gaming company that uses NFL game data to create authentic extended reality experiences, announced the release of NFL PRO ERA, the first-ever NFL and NFLPA license for virtual reality (VR) simulation games. Available worldwide on Meta Quest 2 and PlayStation® VR platforms, NFL PRO ERA brings fans closer to the NFL player’s point of view with a first-person 3D immersive football gaming experience. NFL PRO ERA will include the NFLPA group license, allowing fans to play the current NFL roster in-game.

Featuring a new, unique player simulation, including the ambient sounds and stadium atmosphere that NFL players would experience in a live game, NFL PRO ERA was developed by former football players who collaborated with a team of best-in-class developers to develop a quarterback’s perspective on the field, putting the fan in the driver’s seat of authentic gameplay action.

Once they’re ready for game day, they can quickly move on to play full 11-on-11 games in Exhibition Mode and collect trophies as they play a full NFL schedule and take their team all the way to the Super Bowl in our Season Mode Jones added.

Through a combination of NFL game data and StatusPRO’s athlete-led technology, NFL PRO ERA presents a new level of football video gaming. Gamers can bet one player at a time or choose up to eight participants to experience games together. Multiplayer mode allows gamers to play a game of catch in their favorite stadium, wherever they are in the world.

NFL PRO ERA is available for $29.99 on the official PlayStation™Store and the Quest Store.
