Shovel Knight Dig: How to get a real ending
Step 1: Send Altius Underground
When starting Shovel Knight Digwill players see a purple owl on a board on the right side of the screen. This owl is known as Altius, and roguelite fans should hit it with their spades to force it into the air. Players must then view Altius’ flight path and repeatedly jump on him when he is above the canyon to send him underground.
Step 2: Find Altius in Mushroom Mines
Altius is now in either one hidden room or a room marked with a blue lantern on one of the three floors of Mushroom Mines. When locating the owl, hard video game fans must hit the chest it sits on and then proceed to complete the biome.
Step 3: Find Chester and All Cogs in Secret Fountain 1 or Meltworks 1
With Mushroom Mines in the rear view, players are now in Smeltworks 1 or Secret Fountain 1 and must complete two tasks before leaving the floor. The first task is to find Chester and buy the Cog on a String, an accessory that costs 1,500 gems. The second task is to find all three gearsand fans can proceed to the end of the first floor when both requirements are met.
Step 4: Complete Secret Fountain or Smelters
Players now just need to reach the end of the biome and beat the Kick Knight boss they find there. Fans will then be able to access Secret Fountain or Meltworks depending on which biome they just cleared, which is where they’ll be working on the next step.
Step 5: Sacrifice Three Accessories in Secret Fountain or Smelter
Regardless of which biome players are in now, their job is to create a big golden statue On each of the three floors. These images are in rooms marked with blue lanternsand fans of 2D video games should offer an accessory with each of them. Once that’s done, players must defeat the biome boss and go to the bottom to get a runner.
Step 6: Unlock the Triple Locked Door in The Grub Pit of Magic Landfill
Players will now enter either The Grub Pit or Magic Landfill, and the Kick Knight character must locate a Triple-locked door in the biome and use the above runner to open it. Notably, the Skeleton Key will be destroyed if it lands on spikes, and that will be the end of a true final run. Once a fan has gone through the triple-locked door, Altrius will pick up the Omega Driver Relic and they must make their way to the end of the biome.
Step 7: Use the Bomb in The Grub Pit or Magic Landfill
Players will now enter the biome they did not select for step 6, and they will have a bomb at the beginning of the first floor. This bomb is set to explode in 30 secondsand fans should make sure it’s a path blocked by cracked rocks before that happens. Placing the bomb in this position will break down those rocks and fans will have to enter the room that is now accessible before completing the biome.
Step 8: Fight Drill Knight
After completing the fifth biome, players enter Drill Knight’s Castle and receive the Omega Driver Relic. This relic must be held all the way through the biome, after which Yacht Club Games fans will encounter Drill Knight.
