As we’ve previously established, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova has both wireless and wired variants, depending on the model. The 7s are traditionally the main wireless offering, while the Pro is both wired and wireless. Of course it depends on whether you want to be close to your PC/console which one you need, but of course expect to pay a little extra for wireless.
Connections
Of course, you need to consider where you will be using your Arctis Nova headset. Fortunately, SteelSeries has made it easier to expand their compatibility across multiple devices in recent years.
For example, while the Nova 7 comes in standard 7X (Xbox) and 7P (PlayStation) variants, they also all come with a multi-platform USB dongle that lets you use them on PC, console, and mobile. But keep in mind that not every feature will necessarily work with whatever you plug in.
The Nova 1, meanwhile, uses a 3.5mm jack, so it plugs into just about anything with a standard headphone jack. The Nova 3 is compatible with PC, Mac, PlayStation, Switch and mobile devices via USB-C and has an included USB-A adapter.
The Nova Pros are the trickiest – since the standard model comes with a Multi System receiver, it will work with PC, Mac, PlayStation and Switch. However, you’ll have to invest in the “for Xbox” model if you have an Xbox that you want to use with them as well, thanks to that console’s proprietary format.
