There are a lot of great mobile games out there right now, but more great games are on the way. In recent years, the mobile games market has exploded, with popular titles like Apex Legends and Fortnite coming to phones. And more top multiplayer games are in the works for mobile players, such as Call of Duty Warzone and Valorant. But the future of mobile gaming isn’t just about multiplayer experiences – there are tons of great mobile games coming out in the coming year that should satisfy every gamer, regardless of their style.

Whether you already own a gaming phone or are looking for a lender, these ten upcoming mobile games should get you excited for the future of mobile gaming.

1. Valorant

Riot Games has confirmed that a mobile version of the incredibly popular free-to-play FPS is currently in development. Valorant is currently only available on PC, so it would be great to see the player base expand even more, although the mobile version is unlikely to include crossplay. If you like fast and colorful FPS games then Valorant should be on your radar. There will be a beta for the mobile version, but there is no fixed release date yet.

2. Zero Zero Zone

Zenless Zone Zero, an upcoming free-to-play action game from the team behind Genshin Impact, also features RPG elements and a beautiful futuristic world to explore. The post-apocalyptic setting means you’ll be one of a select group of survivors trying to protect the city from invaders, and you’ll need to recruit new team members to support you. Zenless Zone Zero does not have a release date yet.

3. Pokemon Sleep

Everyone deserves a good night’s sleep, and Pokemon Sleep wants to help you do that. Pokemon Sleep wants to gamify sleep (Snorlax would love this), by tracking how much time you sleep and translating that into game progress. The mobile-only game is currently in development, but it was initially planned to be released in 2020 and it’s been relatively quiet ever since. We hope to see Pokemon Sleep soon!

4. Call of Duty: Warzone

Another massive FPS game will be coming to mobile sometime in the near future: Call of Duty: Warzone. We know that Activision is working on the mobile version of the Battle Royale and we expect to have more news about its release in the coming weeks. When it drops, expect frenetic and fun Battle Royale games that will have you on the edge of your seat – wherever that seat is.

5. Roller Champions

Roller Champions is a free-to-play sports game from Ubisoft currently available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, but a mobile version is in the works. The 3v3 competitive multiplayer game requires you to capture a ball and skate at least one round to score points just like roller derby. You have to tackle or knock down opponents to hinder their progress – and you can look really good thanks to a ton of customization items.

6. Path of Exile

Diablo better watch out, because Path of Exile is coming to mobile. The online-only action RPG has been out for years, but never made it to mobile, so fans of the game are obviously very excited to finally play it on their phones. The dark fantasy RPG is free to play, so if you’re interested, you can try it out when it comes out, without even touching your wallet.

7. Rainbow Six Mobile

We’re not sure when we’ll get Rainbow Six Mobile, but a closed beta is coming to the Google Play Store this fall, so sign up if you’re interested. Rainbow Six Mobile has the classic attack versus defense game modes and a range of operators to choose from, so expect the mobile version to satisfy even long-time Rainbow Six fans.

Another game from the Genshin Impact developers is on the way for mobile players. Honkai: Star Rail is the fourth installment in the Honkai series and takes players to a parallel universe for them to explore. Expect to encounter dungeons and engage in turn-based battles as you play through a captivating story. Honkai: Star Rail has already gone through two betas, but the release date has not yet been announced.

9. Prop night

Propnight is an asymmetrical physics-based multiplayer game that combines elements of prophunt games and survival horror titles. In a small town, teenagers keep disappearing, and it’s unclear who’s behind it – of course one of you will be the killer and four others will be the survivors. If you like Dead by Daylight, you will love this game, especially since you can play it on your phone. The announcement that the horror game would be coming to mobile came in October 2021, but we’re still waiting for an official release date.

10. Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis

Ever Crisis spans the entire Final Fantasy 7 timeline and features iconic chibi graphics and similar combat to the remake. Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis will be free to play with some gacha mechanics and will have a closed beta sometime before the end of the year.
