While Drake’s Deceit focused on Nathan Drake and Sully, The End of a Thief focuses on a previously unknown relationship: Nathan Drake and his presumed deceased brother, Sam Drake. Sam brings Nathan Drake back from the treasure hunting pension to resume their hunt for legendary pirate captain Henry Avery’s treasure. Nathan Drake faces a final showdown with his adventure obsession as he risks losing everything he’s built in his life, including his marriage to Elena Fisher. The End of a Thief was well received for its story and conclusion, as well as new gameplay elements such as larger areas and Nathan Drake’s grappling hook.
