One of the best features to enjoy in Splatoon and Splatoon 2 is the Splatfests. These events happen every now and then and two teams go head-to-head in the ultimate Turf War. From Callie vs Marie to Chaos vs Order, Splatfests are Splatoon’s way of further connecting you to the wonderful ink-filled world of competition. And with Splatoon 3, you’re probably excited about the brand new triple Splatfests.

There are so many possibilities for the triple Splatfests, with the first being official Splatoon 3 Splatfest Rock vs Scissors vs Paper. But what other possible Splatfests could Nintendo create?

THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

10 A Valentine’s special: chocolates, roses, cuddly toys

Splatoon and Splatoon 2 have had holiday themed Splatfests. Events like Naughty vs. Nice and Trick vs. Treat were Splatfests that took place around the time of their respective holidays. So why not bring back the holiday theme?

Only this time, the theme can be about what gift is best to get on Valentine’s Day. Is it Roses? Chocolate? Or a Valentine teddy bear? Which of these gifts reign supreme? The colors for this Splatfest can be red, pink, and white, and Deep Cut can announce the Splatfest while considering which gift is the most heartfelt.

9 Order Up!: Smoothie, Bubble Tea, Milkshake

Some might say that smoothies, milkshakes, and bubble tea are all exactly the same cold drinks. But others would argue that there are certain intricacies to each of these slushy delicacies that set them apart from the others. In this Splatfest, Shiver, Frye and Big Man decide which drink is best.

Is it the juicy fruit smoothies, the creamy ice cream Milkshakes or the tapioca Bubble Tea? Who will win in this hypothetical potion battle? The colors for this Splatfest can be orange, pink and green, and each team’s T-shirt can feature a cartoon design of your chosen drink.

8 Back to Fódlan!: Black Eagles, Blue Lions, Golden Deer

Now that Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has been released, you will be asked to choose your favorite house again. Now take the main houses of Three Hope and bring them to a world where there are Inklings, Octolings and Turf Wars, and you have a new Splatfest.

The three teams choose their favorite house and compete against each other in a Turf War that will decide which house is the best. The beauty of this hypothetical Splatfest is that the colors are already set: red for the Black Eagles, yellow for the Golden Deers and blue for the Blue Lions. The team shirts can also have their respective house decals. How handy!

7 Best taste!: Sweet, Spicy, Salty

When Off the Hook hosted the Splatfests, Pearl and Marina announced a Splatfest that would decide which popcorn flavor was better: sweet or salty. While this Splatfest only took place in Europe, it would be interesting to see its return in Splatoon 3. Only this time a third option can be given; Spicy,

This Splatfest doesn’t necessarily have to be about popcorn, just which flavor is best. Salt can be represented by the color white, sweet can be pink or yellow, and spicy can be red. Bringing back an old Splatfest but adding a third team is the perfect curveball for the chaotic world that is Splatoon 3.

6 Pick a hobby: movies, video games, books

To complement Splatfest reruns, it would be nice to see a Splatfest where books and movies face off again. But this time, Video Games is the third team to be added to the mix.

After all, why would there be Splatfest about books and movies if you, the player, are currently playing a video game? The colors of this Splatfest can be dark blue for books, black for movies and red for video games, and each team t-shirt can have an image of their respective activity.

5 Hi there!: Texting, Calling, Letters

While humans no longer exist in the world of Splatoon, devices have still been found in the game that hark back to the time of mankind. One of these devices is the sea cucumber phones that Inklings and Octolings use. And if there are sea cucumber phones, the sea creatures that use them are probably texting and calling.

But like today, sometimes you want to forgo the instant message and send a nice handwritten note to someone. This Splatfest could be about which way of communicating is best: texting, calling, or sending a letter. The colors for this Splatfest can be gray for the SMS team, purple for the Bubbles team, and turquoise for Letters, and each shirt can have a message screen, a ringing phone, or an image of an envelope.

4 Chess Time!: Pawn, Knight, Queen

Chess is a strategy game where each piece has the task of protecting their king and taking the opponent’s king. But which chess piece is the best? In this Splatfest, Deep Cut debates which chess piece is more important: the simple yet sturdy pawn, the unpredictable knight or the all-powerful queen.

Any member of Deep Cut can plead for their chess piece in unpredictable ways, perhaps even accidentally moving away from the realm of chess in their chatter. The colors for this Splatfest can be black for the pawn, silver for the knight, and gold for the queen, and each Splat shirt will feature their team’s chess piece as their logo.

3 Compliments to the chef: starter, main course, dessert

Imagine you are going to eat in a fancy restaurant. You’re guaranteed to get three courses of pure delight, but which part of this chic feast are you most looking forward to? This Splatfest will reveal that in an epic battle of Appetizer vs. Entrée vs. Dessert.

For this hypothetical Splatfest, it would be interesting to see what kind of t-shirts and accessories Nintendo is cooking for you and the other participants. A green soup shirt for the Appetizer team, a red steak shirt for the Entrée and maybe a pink cake for the Dessert shirt?

2 To the Island!: Isabelle, Tom Nook, Brewster

Who can say no to an Animal Crossing crossover event? For this Splatfest, Deep Cut can have a Turf War battle over who is the best character in the Animal Crossing series: Isabelle, Tom Nook or Brewster.

This Splatfest can feature the Animal Crossing characters on the team t-shirts, and their colors can be blue for Tom Nook, yellow for Isabelle, and green for Brewster. In addition, it would be nice to see how Deep Cut could defend or criticize the Animal Crossing characters. Who will be the first to mention Tom Nook’s penchant for giving up debt, and who will try to defend this patient entrepreneur?

1 Best of the Best: Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, Deep Cut

It wouldn’t be Splatoon Splatfest without an eventual popularity contest. And now there are three music-loving newscaster teams for you to choose from. Sure, for a popular Splatfest, you could pit the members of Deep Cut against each other, but wouldn’t it be more interesting to watch Nintendo pay tribute to all Splatoon games by getting everyone involved?

Team Squid Sisters from the first game, Off the Hook from the second game, and Deep Cut from the third game all have fans, but which fan team is the strongest? Not to mention the battle at the end, when all three teams meet on the same Turf War stage and spit it out would make for a pretty epic Splatfest.
