UK-based price comparison company Uswitch has released quite an interesting report when it comes to the most anticipated and most popular video games on social media.

In their 2022 Video Game Gaming Trend Report, Uswitch analyzed Google search data, alongside some Instagram posts and TikTok views, to find out what those freakin’ hell people care about in terms of video games coming and video games coming. are already out.

Like all reports in the video game industry, some of the results aren’t surprising. Other parts surprised me though, maybe the most unsurprised person in the world. I don’t know. Sometimes I get surprised. Not all the time anyway.

These two lists are of course only a small selection from the report. The whole thing is actually quite fascinating and includes data on the most underrated games of 2022 (Ghostwire Tokyo is on that list, and for good reason), and which games have stood the test of time (Stardew Valley is on that list, and rightly so). If you want to see it for yourself, you can take a look here.

However, let’s take a look at the big boys!

Okay, okay, we get it. Everyone loves Elden Ring. And fair enough, it’s a great game. For me, it was a poignant reminder that I’m an absolute ass at FromSoft games, but I can’t deny it’s an impressive title.

As you’ve probably noticed, some of the games on this list aren’t even out yet. I think that’s the power of the hype at work there. However, what made me smile was seeing Pokemon Legends: Arceus on this list. I loved that game so much and was relieved when I got a new take on the . saw pokemon system. What’s even better is that other people seem to feel the same. You like to see it.

This all makes sense, really. However, what surprises me the most in this list is how far Breath of the Wild 2 fell on the list. That’s understandable, of course, given that the game has been delayed until next year. But also, damn it. That really sent the game into the trenches of public opinion, didn’t it? That said, good games take time, so I’m more than happy to wait.

It is a pity, however, that the Gex revival game that I’ve made up in my head that I’m sure will eventually be announced is not on this list. With the completion of the acquisition of Square Enix’s western studios by Embracer Group, I am confident that a Gex game comes. Where’s the hype for our boy Crazy?
