rollerdrome is an exciting single-player shooter that brings together arena combat, fluid movement and technical tricks to create flow-state chaos. The game is set in 2030, in a world where audiences are distracted from an increasingly sinister political movement by the violence and excess of a brutal new arena sport: Rollerdrome. The contestants are chosen to battle the deadly house players in a range of gauntlets, combining eliminations with stylish tricks as they complete countless challenges while trying to survive.
Players step into the roller skates of Kara Hassan, a newcomer to the Rollerdrome tournament. As the mysteries of a corrupt tech giant unfold behind the scenes, Kara and the player will have to stay focused on their goal: to climb the ranks in hopes of becoming the next Rollerdrome champion.
rollerdrome introduces a decidedly retro-futuristic universe with a unique comic book-inspired art style. Electric Dragon’s soundtrack blends iconic 70s sounds with contemporary, rousing beats to create a heartbreaking backdrop to the carnage.
“rollerdrome is a tribute to extreme action sports games through a 1970s lens of a classic third-person shooter. It plays at a breakneck pace and is sure to make people’s hearts beat faster,” said Paul Rabbitte, Creative Director at Roll7. “I can’t wait to see players show off their craziest skate and combat combos.”
