Four years ago, Black Panther was released in theaters and received critical acclaim not only as a well-crafted MCU superhero feature, but also as a film that embraced diversity and inclusion. Ryan Coogler’s third directorial effort featured a talented cast led by Chadwick Boseman, who played King T’Challa in a memorable performance as a powerful leader determined to protect the people of Wakanda and share their technological advances with the world to to do well.

Boseman unfortunately passed away in 2020 as a result of colon cancer, which left many questions about whether a possible sequel would be possible. utilities, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the next chapter that aims to honor Boseman’s memory (and his role as T’Challa). While several cast members from the first movie are returning, there are big questions about this second one Black Panther movie.

The first film did a good job of introducing the audience to the world of Wakanda, including its cultural significance, technological means, rituals and combat methods. There was also an intriguing villain in Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) who was emotionally tormented and betrayed by those who didn’t tell him the truth about his identity. The sequel will feature new villains who are relatively unknown at this point but try to threaten Wakanda’s existence.

Coogler’s film may also attempt to reveal what happened in Wakanda during T’Challa’s reign, including an explanation of how he died. There’s also curiosity about how Wakanda managed to share its resources with the rest of the world after T’Challa agreed to help other nations in need at the end of the first film. Since this feature will be the last in phase four of the MCU, many will be wondering how this sequel will correlate with the timeline.

Out star Daniel Kaluuya had a supporting role as W’Kabi in Black Panther, leaving a lasting impression because of his twisted nature that transitions from T’Challa’s friend to an enemy devoted to Killmonger’s dark vision of tyranny. W’Kabi eventually lost his battle, forcing himself and his army to surrender during the end of the first film, leaving many wondering what will become of the dual character.

Unfortunately, Kaluuya won’t be reprising his role as W’Kabi in the sequel due to the actor’s scheduling conflicts and dedication to Jordan Peele’s sci-fi horror thriller. no. However, W’Kabi can be mentioned briefly as he was a key character who was married to Okoye (Danai Gurira) and may be returning if there is a possible third film.

Martin Freeman’s CIA agent Everett Ross became a valuable ally for T’Challa and the warriors of Wakanda in the first film, thanks to his knowledge of the villains Killmonger and Ulysses Klaue. Ross also learned about some technology in Wakanda, such as their unique railway system, their healing methods (which were helpful for Ross’ gunshot wound), and the use of a remote fighter jet to prevent weapons from crossing to other parts of the world. After T’Challa’s death, Ross’s involvement with Wakanda is in question, but because of his expertise, he is sure to provide all the help they need.

Another ally many may wonder about is M’Baku, who was once an enemy of T’Challa but became an effective comrade who saved the king’s life. He will be hit hard by the death of the king after their newfound friendship and comradeship. However, M’Baku is a fierce warrior who will continue to support his fellow Wakanda people, especially during the war.

Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye are two of the most powerful female characters in Black Panther. Both women are strong fighters, well-trained fighters, and part of Wakanda’s elite special forces unit called the Dora Milaje. Nakia split with the organization to help others on undercover missions around the world, while Okoye is a stoic general who is dedicated to leading her group and protecting her people (and is exceptional with a spear).

Since Nakia was in love with T’Challa and Okoye was always with the king, both women will miss the Black Panther greatly and will be left with numerous obstacles. If a new successor comes to T’Challa, Okoye will have to adapt to any new leadership on the throne. As for Nakia, she is allowed to continue on secret missions while also being determined to help Wakanda when needed. Either way, these warriors will no doubt make their people proud in the sequel.

Of course, the biggest question around the Black Panther sequel is who will take T’Challa’s place as the Black Panther, and also become the next king or queen of Wakanda. Many onlookers believe that Shuri (T’Challa’s sister, played by Letitia Wright) will become the next chief ruler to don the suit. Shuri is the best choice because she has always loved her brother and supported him throughout his career. Their relationship was also humorous because of the way they made fun of each other.

Although she is not the most difficult fighter, Shuri is still the ideal choice as she is resourceful and knowledgeable. She is also responsible for creating most of the technology in Wakanda, including the Black Panther suits, special gadgets, healing devices, the advanced railroad, and anything involving vibranium. Shuri has the power to help outsiders after T’Challa puts her in charge of the California outreach center. With her intelligence and technological skills, Shuri is more than capable of leading Wakanda and becoming the next Black Panther to honor her brother’s legacy.
