The Rock/Dark type pseudo-legendary Pokémon is about to make its in-game debut on the August 15, 2022 Bee 12 hours PDT. It would become the newest all-rounder in the game after the arrival of Buzzwole, another all-rounder, recently. Several leaks and runs of the Public test server have already revealed Tyranitar’s movesets in Pokémon Unite.
Pokémon Unite: Tyranitar Movement Sets

Before you jump into the moves section, you should know that Tyranitar would have 3 evolutionary stages in the game, known as Pupitar, Larvitar, and finally, Tyranitar. However, there is a reason why players may argue that people should be aware of this. Following are Tyranitar’s moves, according to the leaks.
Basic Attack
The ability becomes a boosted attack with every third hit, dealing more damage. The Unite move changes the basic attack mechanics, discussed below.
passive
Tyranitar’s passive ability is a bit interesting. The three different evolutionary stages of Tyranitar, which has three different passive abilities.

- Guts (pupitar): When the Pokémon takes a certain amount of damage, its attack increases for a short time. This ability cools down after it is activated.
- abrade skin (Larvitar): When the Pokémon takes a certain amount of damage, all status conditions are canceled and it gains a shield. This ability cools down after it is activated.
- Sand Stream (Tyranitar): The ability summons a sandstorm around Tyranitar when it uses a move. This sandstorm increases Pokemon’s Def. and Sp. certainly and also harms the opposition.
Skill 1- Bite (Melee)

This dark-type move deals damage to the designated opposition. In addition, this move can also stun an opponent, if he has HP below a certain amount. It can also be baffled if Bite deals the opponent enough damage in one go.
Option 1 Choices at level 5
At level 5, Bite can be upgraded to one of these 2 moves:
dark pulse | stone edging |
---|---|
A dark-type move spreads a dark fog to the opponent in a horizontal sweeping motion. If the move hits an enemy with little damage, it stuns the same.
Repeated hits on the same opponent with this move increase the damage dealt. This move can combo with Ability 2 (Ancient Power), where the player can ignore the defense and shield if the opposition is for an extended period of time due to the increased Piercing Power. |
The Rock-type move deals damage to the opposition, in the AoE. This move deals more damage the closer the enemy is to Tyranitar. This move can be used 3 times in a row within a given time, with the AoE widening itself each time it is used. |
Upgrade: Decreases the cooldown of this move. Type: Area Cooling down: 5s |
Upgrade: Increases damage dealt. Type: Area Cooling down: 9.5s |
Skill 2 – Rock Polish (Dash)

This Rock-type move lets the player run in any direction, while also dealing damage to Pokémon it hits along the way. When it hits an enemy, the player’s attack stat increases for a short time.
Skill choices at level 9
At level 9, when the Pokémon has fully evolved, Rock Polish can be upgraded to the following moves:
Ancient power | sandbox |
---|---|
A Rock-type movement charges force before releasing a shock wave. The wave does damage to the opponents, leaving them stunned. While charging, the user’s movement speed increases, gains a shield, and becomes immune to obstacles.
When the wave hits an enemy, the user’s penetrating power increases and he can ignore enemies’ defenses and shields to deal damage. When the move hits an opponent, a new wave is unleashed, decreasing the opponent’s movement speed and dealing damage. When hit, this 2nd shock wave grants another shield to the user. The strength of the shield is proportional to the number of opponents the 2nd wave hit at once, with a maximum of 3. |
This ground-type move causes the user to move in a single direction in a particular direction, dealing damage to enemies it hits while jumping, leaving them stunned. Upon landing, a cloud of dust surrounds the user, and enemies within the AoE suffer damage and loss of movement speed when hit with the dust.
In addition, if this move is used again while the cloud is still there, it will draw the enemies closer to the user. Finally, during this entire move, the player takes less damage and ignores the defense and shield effects of the opponent’s Pokemon. |
Upgrade: Boosts the effects of the shield that this move provides. Type: buff CD: 7.5 s |
Upgrade: Extends the time the dust cloud stays at the point of impact. Type: nuisance CD: 12 s |
Unite Move – Tyrannical Rampage (Buff)

This move causes the custom to erupt in anger and run wild. The movement increases the user’s movement speed for a short time, but when hit by a nuisance movement, the speed becomes normal, faster than normal. During the rampage, the base attack style changes and additional damage is dealt with each base attack (punches). Finally, if the enemy has HP below a certain level and he is hit with such a basic attack, he will be knocked out immediately.
Final Thoughts
By the looks of it, Tyranitar seems like a powerful choice to have. Though it lacks movement speed, but has a higher level of Attack and Endurance, something an all-rounder should really have. Now we too are waiting with everyone for its arrival in the actual game so that we can provide a guide about it as soon as possible for your convenience.
