Hello Games has rolled out No Man’s Sky Endurance Update 3.99 on all platforms and here’s what it does.
The brand new patch for the Endurance update aims to fix many reported issues in the game, including memory-related crashes, visual glitches, and gameplay bugs.

Bug fixes
- A glass version of the Freighter Staircase is now available to explore and build.
- Fixed some issues with the freighter customization that caused paint areas to be too small or incorrectly labeled as primary/secondary/tertiary.
- Cargo ship surface details (such as numbers and decals) are now recolored when changing the paint options on the cargo ship customization screen.
- Fixed an issue where the orb from the freighter’s trade room would become detached and float over the freighter.
- Players can now freely place interior walls around their freighter, including within automatically generated doorways.
- The industrial expansion space of the freighter now has a unique floor.
- Older Industrial Cargo Ship Expansion Rooms have been added as variant parts.
- Cargo ship storage containers now display their number designation as part of their hologram.
- Fixed an issue where certain storage containers were hidden from the build menu if they were not built in that specific base.
- Cargo ship storage containers already built within the current base are now grayed out in the parts menu.
- Fixed an issue that prevented other base parts from being placed on shelf panels.
- Fixed an issue that could cause parts from other people’s freighters to be placed in your own freighter during an expedition.
- Fixed an issue where players could fall through their freighter when saving the game at extreme distances from the center of the solar system.
- Fixed an issue with the remaining battery life calculation for power grids.
- Fixed an issue that caused the fleet coordination bonuses for fuel consumption to be reversed.
- Fixed an issue where organic frigates could occasionally roll stats with a strength of 0.
- Fixed an issue where dual organic frigates could spawn once the player has collected that system’s unique frigate.
- Fixed some visual issues and glitches with the corridors connecting the freighter hangar to the bridge.
- Improved appearance of landing lights in the cargo ship hangar.
- Fixed some minor visual issues with freighter technology rooms.
- Fixed a visual glitch that could occur when the freighter warped.
- Fixed some visual issues with decorative items glowing too intensely.
- Fixed a light glitch affecting the cargo ship’s interior.
- Fixed an issue that caused Nada to use the wrong dialogue during the Artemis path.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent progress in Sentinel Pillar Nexus missions if players dropped out.
- Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the freight bridge teleporter if they were jetpacking upon entry.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent players from claiming Expedition Reward Frigates on other saves.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a progress block in the Taste of Metal mission (and others) while on an expedition.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from claiming the first Polestar Log milestone reward if they had already reached their ship’s stock.
- Fixed a rare issue that could cause Infestation Nexus missions to lead players to an inappropriate planet.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the expedition from ending correctly after completing all objectives early.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent mission progress during Sentinel Pillar Nexus missions.
- Fixed some cases where players could not reset missions with blocked mission destinations (such as loading a portal).
- Fixed a rare issue that prevented players from acquiring the Dream Aerial in very specific circumstances.
- Some basic parts that were previously limited only underwater can now be built on land.
- Fixed an issue that caused incorrect pricing information in the Quicksilver store UI.
- Fixed some network sync issues with Sentinel battles.
- Fixed an issue that caused sentries to temporarily stop syncing the network when a player died.
- Introducing some optimizations for freighter NPC pathfinding.
- Fixed some memory-related crashes on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
No Man’s Sky is now available worldwide for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development.
