Awakening simulacra is an underrated way to improve your team’s effectiveness. The awakening mechanism is not well explained, but it is still important to understand and take advantage of it. To help you, we’ve put together this guide to the best gifts and features for each simulacrum in Tower of Fantasy.

Remark: We have a Tower of Fantasy guides and features hub coming soon, so stay tuned.

Getting gifts and why it’s worth waking up simulacra

The main advantage of awakening simulation is that you can access: unique features. These traits are passive abilities that increase your strength. Every character in Tower of Fantasy has a unique trait where the SSR rarity simulacra possesses the most powerful traits.

To unlock these properties, you must first awaken a simulacrum of your choice. You can wake up a simulacrum by using enough gifts on it. Depending on the preferences of your chosen simulacra, each gift will yield between 15 and 80 Awakening Points. You need 1,200 Awakening Points to unlock a simulacrum’s basic ability, and 4,000 are needed to unlock their enhanced ability. The enhanced property is always a stronger version of the base property.

Your playing style will affect the feature of the simulacrum that works best for you. Some popular features including Samir’s Shadow, Tsubasa’s Raging Waves and Crow’s Silent Night. These are all strong DPS traits that greatly increase the damage you can deal. Some players may prefer tank-oriented traits, such as Meryl’s Frosted, or support-oriented traits, such as Cocoritter’s Trust. There are even non-combat features like Hilda’s Full-speed Drifting, which speeds up vehicles by 10%.

But how do you get gifts in the first place? Some can be purchased from Claude, a merchant in Banges. However, most gifts are obtained by completing daily newspapers. Activities like Hopkin’s Mystery Box and the Cetus Island Claw Machine are some of the best ways to get gifts. For more information, check out our Tower of Fantasy Daily Guide.
