At one point, fighting games were one of the biggest staples in arcades around the world. Since the beginning, they have become a thriving genre on home consoles and PC. With many different styles to choose from, 2023 promises some excellent additions to the genre. These are the upcoming fighting games we’re looking forward to.
#10 Final rage

Not to be confused with the fatal anger series, final anger comes from the team behind the game Synth Riders. Before we go any further, note that this game is made for VR. You can both in the 1 . to playst and 3rd person’s perspective, giving you two very different ways of dealing with this exciting title. Details of the game are limited, but the development team cites street fighter and Killer instinct as major influences.

League of Legends is without a doubt one of the most popular and enduring games of the last few generations of gaming. The team at Riot Games has done a great job of keeping things fresh, fun and balanced and always giving players something new to look forward to. This brings us to Project La fighting game set in the universe of League of Legends. The game is still in development, but the team has revealed a few details. This is going to be a tag team style fighting game, so be surprised.

Not all fighting games have to be in the genre’s standard style – some can have a lot of RPG and adventure influences. This is exactly the case with Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. In the game, you are a martial arts master who encounters a creature known as The Boy. This creature has unusual abilities that attract the attention of a higher creature, and so your fighter will protect the boy from all the threats the faces have. You only use your martial arts skills to defeat your enemies, so use your techniques wisely!
#7 Orbitals

Orbitals will put you to the test. You don’t just fight your opponents – the many levels contain all kinds of enemies that you must both avoid and eliminate. You will also be able to control your own gravity in the game, giving you a new sense of verticality and strategy to use. You can customize your character to become the best fighter out there, and you can play the game alone or with friends!
#6 Evolver

When it comes to Evolver, Nothing is what it seems. This is a game that combines the fighting game genre with cyberpunk and sci-fi aesthetics, creating a very unique look compared to other titles. Fighters wield a variety of very different weapons, and you’ll have to see which one works best for you. Players choose their move sets and each has 15 to choose from for each round. There’s a lot of depth here, so be sure to give it a try in 2023.

Blazing Worldstars is intended to pay tribute to early titles such as street fighter or fatal anger. The 2D art style and 6-button battle system make this game easy to understand for gamers of all skill levels, and the Enhance system will make your character stronger at key moments in the battle. With a selection of animal fighters, this promises to be a fun and nostalgic romp.
#4 Trajes Fatais: Costumes of Destiny

Picture this: you’re at a birthday party, you’re all dressed up, and out of nowhere a mystical presence comes in and turns the party into a fighting game. That’s actually the gist of it Trajes Fatais: Costumes of Destiny. In the game, the partygoers are now trapped and have to fight to get out of jail. You get powers based on the fantasies of the characters, and you don’t fight people, you fight fairies, angels and much more. The gameplay mapping system is easy to use, but you’ll find a lot of depth here.
#3 Varvarion

If you want a fighting game with a little more anime flair, check it out Varvarion When it arrives. The team wanted to create a game that captures the campy feel of an anime sword fight, and it seems they’ve succeeded. You’ll notice that each character has a different kind of sword, meaning they have a different fighting style. You have to be sensible and not only run in for strikes, but also learn to block and parry to make sure you get the job done. More information will be released soon.
#2 SpiderHeck

This is a game that gives spiders access to weapons such as grenades, rocket launchers and lightsabers. It’s an absolute nightmare, but it looks like a blast – as spiders you can stick to all kinds of surfaces in the levels, allowing you to use different strategies. You can play the game alone, against friends, or with friends in PvE matches, and that’s just the surface of what this game has to offer.

The street fighter series is one of the oldest franchises in the world of fighting games. Each main title brings something new and fresh into the mix, and Street Fighter 6 is strive to outdo all others through the visual style of SFIV, with some new additions such as taunts before battle. In addition, since this will be on the current generation of systems, the game will look better than ever before. We still don’t know the full roster, but Capcom will undoubtedly make it epic.
