MADiSON: Red Safe Combination Solution Guide

The Red Safe in MADiSON, located in Grandpa’s Office, can be opened using the combination obtained after solving the cuckoo clock puzzle.

Red Safe in Grandpa’s Office can be opened in a later section of the MADISON using one of the drawings from Luca’s notebook. Players will need to complete puzzles and progress through the story until a drawing appears with three curved lines pointing in a certain direction, each with checkmarks that help determine the right combination for Red Safe.

To trigger the drawing that reveals the Red Safe combination, players will need to complete the puzzle in the workshop. To solve the cuckoo clock puzzle in MADISON, Luca needs to swap the clocks downstairs with the ones that can be found around the house. Each cuckoo clock has a group of clocks around it that are stopped at a specific time. This indicates which clock Luca needs to use for each cuckoo clock.

Solving the cuckoo clock puzzle is quite easy when the clue of the clocks behind them is identified. The downstairs clock can be swapped in any order with those in the first hallway, kitchen, attic, and outside grandpa’s office. However, the first clock face can only be obtained by finding the combination for the Green Safe in MADISON. After swapping all the watch faces, Luca can take a picture of the door with the watch, then the Red Safe combination drawing will appear on his notebook.

How to get Johnny’s room key in MADiSON

The drawing will represent a rectangle with a circle in the center with three unfinished circles inside it. The lines with arrows at one end and check marks along the curve are the clues needed to open the Red Safe. Arrows indicate which direction to rotate the dial, and intersection marks represent how many times it needs to be rotated.

The combination can be entered starting with the outside line and working inwards. With the clue in hand, Luca can head back to Grandpa’s office to open the Red Vault. Inside there will be a key to Johnny’s room so Luca can access this new area to solve the animal weights puzzle in MADISON. Along with the Red Safe key, the clock obtained after solving the cuckoo clock puzzle is needed for the next challenge.

After opening the Red Safe, Luca can enter Johnny’s room and use the riddle on the blackboard to solve the animal weights puzzle. This is one of the last challenges in the game, so it might take some time to figure it out, but the animals in the puzzle correspond to the symbols on the hooks where the weights need to go. Opening the Red Safe can only be done late MADISONand it’s part of the story, so players don’t have to worry about losing it.
