Many of the iconic memes of Sponge Bob Square Pants have been recreated in various video games, with Elden ring being the last place fans went to watch the show. a particularly fun Elden ring clip features a meeting between two Tarnished dressed as Handsome Squidward, and the pair give a performance for the ages.
For those who don’t know Lula Molusco Bonito, the character was introduced in Sponge Bob Square Pants episode “The Two Faces of Squidward”. After SpongeBob accidentally slams a door in his grumpy co-worker’s face, surgery to repair the damage turns out to be somewhat successful. With Squidward becoming incredibly compelling, the episode stuck with many fans of the show. Also, Handsome Squidward’s unusually good looks make him a perfect target for video game character creators.
Reddit user and Elden ring Player FlyByShyGuy loved Handsome Squidward enough to play the entire game as the character, with blue skin, a muscular body, and a chiseled chin all coming together to make the look work. However, they weren’t the only player to come up with this idea, as another Elden ring fan went out of his way to become Handsome Squidward. While his version of the character wears more clothing as they don the bulky Godskin Noble armor, both characters look like paper.
Instead of getting into a fight, the two Handsome Squidwards draw the Envoy’s Horn weapon. Clearly intended to represent Squidward’s clarinet, an instrument he consistently plays poorly on the show, the musicians were clearly committed to the joke. Once the two Handsome Tarnished take off their horns, they start using them, with FlyByShyGuy saying the instruments are being played “in E minor”. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time two of the same characters have interacted within the Lands Between. Recently, a Redditor shared an image that showed two versions of Kratos interacting, highlighting how amazing the game’s multiplayer interactions can be.
