This BOGO promo features some sets we haven’t seen in deals before. In addition to offering a few Lord of the Rings sets (Dwarvish and Elvish), the sleek Godspeed R2 and retro 9009 sets are also in the mix. Most sets cost $120 before the discount savings, with Lord of the Rings and Marvel-licensed sets that go up to $130. While individual sets differ in using ABS or PBT-based plastics, all have the unique MT3 profile with deeply scooped tops for a unique typing feel that looks vintage.
Today is the last day to take advantage of pre-order promotions for the Google Pixel 6A. The new midrange A-series phone for Google’s Pixel lineup will officially launch tomorrow, and if you pre-order one for $449 from Amazon, Best Buy, or Google, you’ll get a pair of free Pixel Buds A wireless earbuds from it. $99.
The deal may become more attractive if you have an older phone to trade in, especially an earlier model from the Pixel A series. The Google Store offers up to $300 in credit for a 6A. The Pixel 4A 5G, Pixel 4A and even the aging Pixel 3A, in particular, can fetch that $300 when powered up with working, tear-free screens. According to Google’s fine print, these promotions end tonight at 11:59 PM PT, so the clock is ticking when you’re on the gate.
The Pixel 6A offers much of the flagship Pixel 6 formula in a smaller 6.1-inch form factor. It has the same fast Tensor CPU, but Google has ditched some premium features like wireless charging and a high refresh screen to keep the price down. All in all, it offers great performance in an affordable package. Read our review.
Nature continues to heal (metaphorically, of course; reality still doesn’t look too good), and powerful GPUs remain readily available – with additional discounts. Speaking of which, EVGA offers great prices on refurbished cards. The RTX 3070 Ti XC3 is just $579.99 ($130 off), and the RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 is just $10 more for $589.99 ($230 off). These cards are very similar, with the FTW3 having a slightly higher clock speed and more powerful RGB lighting.
Whatever you notice, they are both slightly faster than the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition. And at these prices, these refurbished models also cost a little less. EVGA calls them “B-stock” merchandise, but they’ve been refurbished. Still, EVGA claims they offer the “performance and reliability of a new product of the same model.” Plus, each comes with a one-year warranty.
An extra thing to keep in mind is that if you haven’t bought a video card recently, you should check the dimensions of the case you want to install it in. These things can take up a lot of space.
If you’re looking for a gaming laptop on a budget that’s also good for some other mainstream laptop tasks, the last-generation Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is available at Best Buy for $1,099.99. That’s a $300 discount on this great laptop, the model to beat when it came out in 2020. Yes, it’s 2022, so that means it’s a little long now, but it’s much cheaper than the current model. And its AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor, RTX 3060, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD are still very capable today, especially since it only runs 1080p on its 14-inch 144Hz display. Note that there’s no webcam, so you’ll need a remote option if Zoom calls are an important part of your routine. Read our review.
We often mention the Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD in deals coverage, and that’s because it offers very fast speeds at increasingly attractive prices. Whether you’re looking to upgrade the storage on your PC or PS5, the 2TB model that isn’t discounted as much as the 1TB model is cheaper these days. The Samsung 980 Pro 2TB — complete with heatsink preinstalled — costs $249.99 ($150 off) at Amazon. It be able to half the cost of a PS5 itself, but think of all the games you can fit on it.
A few more midweek deals to help you get over the threshold:
