Amouranth belongs to the echelon of streamers who have become legit celebrities beyond the reach of twitch or platforms in general. She also took advantage of that celebrity in incredibly lucrative ways, recently stating that she can withdraw $100,000 daily without worry. Amouranth doesn’t slow down either. She recently shared on social media that she has the ambition to organize her own convention. However, she also clarifies that the convention would not necessarily be aimed at Amouranth, much to the dismay of Twitch fans.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Using her personal Twitter account “wildkait,” Amouranth asked her followers if they were or knew anyone who had experience starting or running a convention. In particular, she mentions that she is looking for someone with “director, management, c suite or chairman/board experience.” In other words, she’s looking for congressional organization-level veterans to help her determine the next steps for running a congress or take those next steps. All the evidence shows that Amouranth is very serious about investigating the possibility of hosting a convention.

Details on what Amouranth wants to do with a convention aren’t clear, though. What she does say is that she would like to host the convention in her hometown, presumably Houston, Texas. She also says her goal would be a minimum of 25,000 attendees, which would be modest compared to the largest fan conventions in the world, but still significant.

As for the subject of the convention, Amouranth does not clarify. What she does say is that this is not an “amo-con bat signal” and further that the “topic has little to do with me other than that I was/am a fan”. In other words, it sounds like Amouranth wants to host a convention for something she likes, rather than host a convention for the Amouranth brand or any of its various streams, products, or services.

While the way Amouranth has framed the convention is quite mysterious so far, that’s not necessarily her intention. The Twitch star makes it clear that she wants to share more information about her plans in the coming weeks. She’s just trying to better understand what it takes for a convention right now. It is the first step in a process.

If Amouranth were to host a convention specific to its streaming channels, it would undoubtedly be popular. Notably, YouTuber Tana Mongeau’s disaster of a convention in Anaheim, California drew more than 20,000 attendees before being shut down and cancelled. Amouranth will hopefully share more information about what could be a very highly anticipated event, whether it is twitch or soon to do something else.
