Overcooked: all you can eat is getting a free update later this month that will add brand new levels to the co-op cooking game. Overcooked: all you can eat combines the first two Overcooked games and gives them a significant makeover, updating the graphics, streamlining gameplay features, and more. It leaves all Overcooked levels released so far to exist in a single hub, and now fans of the game will have to complete even more levels.

There has been some controversy over the discontinuation of Team17 and Ghost Town Games Overcooked 2 in favor of releasing new levels exclusively for Overcooked: all you can eatand while some fans may still be mad about that, those who have upgraded will soon have a big reason to return to the Onion Kingdom.

Overcooked: all you can eatThe next big update comes on October 12 to celebrate World Food Day. This completely free update adds 10 new levels to Overcooked: all you can eat spanning three different biomes (Baked Bazaar, Metro Mash, and Pepper Plaza). three new Overcooked chefs will be available (Globe, Fox, and an alternate Goldfish skin) to help complete the two new recipes: bobotie and curry. The update also introduces a brand new gameplay mechanic in the form of delivery bags. These bags serve as an obstacle that can hinder one’s cooking, and they will not disappear until players have supplied them with the correct raw ingredients.

While the new content is undoubtedly the most exciting thing about the coming Overcooked: all you can eat update, it should be noted that it will do more than add new chefs and levels. The update also adds improved accessibility options to the game, in addition to fixing some lingering bugs and technical issues that plague it as well. One downside is that the update doesn’t add any new achievements or trophies to the game. The only question left is whether this will be the last major update for Overcooked: all you can eator that fans can expect even more updates in the future.

Some fans may be afraid of a Overcooked 3 at this point, especially given the controversy surrounding the free updates for Overcooked: all you can eat. While it’s hard to complain about free content, Overcooked: all you can eat usually consisting of levels of the first two Overcooked games meant that many fans couldn’t justify buying the game. It makes sense that they feel belittled that the new content isn’t coming to them despite being past supporters, but those hard feelings would probably go away in the event of a real one. Overcooked 3.
