Customize the Xbox button color on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Giving fans choice and opportunities to express themselves is a core part of our mission. That’s why we’re excited to announce color customization for the Xbox button on Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers! Choose from a wide range of colors that combine red, blue and green LEDs to produce over 16 million shades of light.

To configure the Xbox button color settings, open the Xbox Accessories App on your Xbox console or Windows PC while your controller is connected. Choose an existing profile there or create a new profile and then select the Colour tab to see the full range of Xbox button color options. You can change the brightness by choosing a calm glow instead of the traditional glow. Use the sliders in the Custom menu to see the full rainbow of color options. Don’t see the exact color you want? Don’t worry, this menu also supports Hex Code so you can get exactly the color you’re looking for. You will need the latest version of the Xbox Accessories app and the September Xbox Update to change the color of your Xbox button. If you don’t see the option to choose your color, please try restart your Xbox console by navigating to Settings > General > Sleep & Startup > Restart Now to get the update.

Complete library refresh on Xbox consoles means easier access to all your games and apps

It’s now easier and faster to find all your games on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. The My games and apps Full library view has been redesigned to streamline access to all the games you can install and play. All games now shows all games you own and all games you can access with your current Xbox subscriptions, including Xbox Game Pass, EA Access, and claimed Games with Gold. You also get easy access to catalogs of your subscriptions, editorial content and all your apps.

Select storage locations for your games and apps on Xbox consoles

Starting today, you can select different default install locations for all your games and apps on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. By providing separate default installation locations for different types of games, you can use your storage space most effectively and manage game installations.

In the storage device settings, select Change installation locations if you have connected external drives or a storage expansion card. You can select a specific drive as the installation location, or “Let Xbox decide” where the content will be installed for the fastest drive with available space.

Share to Xbox Game Bar on Windows PCs

Xbox Game Bar works with most PC games, giving you instant access to widgets for screen capture and sharing, find new teammates with LFG, and chat with Xbox friends on Xbox console, mobile and PC, and all without leaving your game.

With the Xbox Game Bar, you can now get a shareable link for any recording you want. Share your recordings anywhere – SMS, WhatsApp, Twitter, Messenger and more. If your settings are set to Public, anyone who receives your link will be able to see your shared recordings.

While playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G on your keyboard to open the Xbox Game Bar. If you have an Xbox controller connected to your PC, press the Xbox button.

You can click Copy link at the bottom of any selected game recording in the Xbox Game Bar gallery, which will upload the recording (if not already uploaded) and provide the shareable link once the upload is complete.

Party Chat Noise Canceling, now on Xbox One consoles and PCs with Windows 11/10

Last month we announced party chat noise cancellation on Xbox Series X|S consoles. This month we’re rolling it out to Xbox One consoles and PCs running Windows 11/10. If you use party chat, you may notice fewer unwanted noises and interruptions than before. Noise cancellation helps to remove noises such as gamepad clicking, breathing and background noises from your parties.

If you want to keep certain types of background noise, such as music, at your parties, you can also turn the noise cancellation off. On Xbox consoles, open the manual, scroll to Parties & chatsand select Options. There you can turn noise cancellation on or off. And on Windows 11/10 PCs, go to start a partyOpen Settings > party audioand turn noise cancellation on or off from there.

Organize parties with your friends in no time in the Xbox app

The new “Start party” button in the Xbox app makes it easy to jump right into the game with your friends. Now there is no need to create a whole new party every time you want to bring your friends together.

To start, find the new one celebrate option on the social tab. You’ll see a list of all your recent parties, from which you can restart a party or create a new one. You can also easily select which friends you want to invite.
