Following on from our latest DLC, Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion, we’re adding four more awesome prehistoric species to help you expand your ever-evolving dinosaur parks. This time, we’ve delved deep into the fascinating Late Cretaceous Period to bring you spectacular new additions across land, sea and air. Introduce them to your park through the Let Chalk Package on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S when it releases tomorrow, September 15.

The Late Cretaceous was a period of more than 65 million years ago that gave rise to all kinds of beautiful life forms. We chose to create this pack because the Cretaceous had such diverse looking species across the water, land and sky. It’s such a rich span of time to draw from, giving us great additions to Jurassic World Evolution 2as well as making a great companion for our Early Chalk Pack. So let’s take a look at the four new prehistoric animals featured in the soon-to-be-released Let Chalk Package.

First, Barbaridactylus, a flying hunter with a distinctive head. Our artists and designers have done an amazing job bringing this species back to life. Barbaridactylus flourished towards the end of the late Cretaceous and takes its name from the Barbary Coast of North Africa, near where it was discovered. The Barbaridactylus is our first Nyctosaurid to be added to the game and it’s really exciting to add a flying reptile with such a distinctive head crest. If you haven’t built an aviary in your park yet, I really recommend getting started so you can give Barbaridactylus a home.

Then Alamosaurus. This is a true titan and one of the largest dinosaurs in North America. In fact, it can claim to be one of the largest dinosaurs ever. To give you an idea of its massive size, even its shinbone manages to outshine an average adult human. But that is not everything. Alamosaurus is also armored and has large spines running down its shoulders, back and tail. With the Alamosaurus, I really like the shape and size of the neck – it has a real weight to it as it moves through your parks.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 - Late Cretaceous Pack

Equally impressive is the medium-sized carnivore, Australovenator. Now Australovenator is a speed demon galloping through Late Cretaceous Australia at a cheetah-like pace. However, unlike a cheetah, this species has flexible, grasping arms that are used for grasping. In fact, one of my favorite elements is the unique animation for when the Australovenator reaches out and grabs food. With its lightweight frame and hypermobility, this is a skilled hunter who excels at stalking prey and shooting it down. The patterns and colors on the Australovenator are also some of my favorites. It has some really vibrant contrasting colors.

Another prehistoric animal we think you’d like to introduce to your park is Styxosaurus. This intimidating species is an efficient sea predator that masters the waves with a deadly combination of large fins, streamlined shape and deadly speed. Besides sounding really cool because it’s named after the River of Death, this is a great addition because it’s a marine reptile with bioluminescence in some patterned colors. At night it glows as it swims around the lagoon.

In addition to the new pack, we’re also releasing Update 4 for free, with a host of new features coming your way. It includes improvements such as the ability to wake up stunned dinosaurs using the new stimulating arrow, either directly or via task assignment. And look to the sky, because flying reptiles can now attack capture team helicopters! There are also plenty of beautiful new lagoon decorations in the base game update for you to personalize, including banners, fountains, customizable lights, and even an Indominus rex skeleton, which can be placed at the bottom of the lagoon.

We are so excited for you to try our latest DLC and discover the incredible new prehistoric animals waiting for you as well as try the all new update 4. Covering land, sea and air, they are guaranteed to make surprising additions. Buy the Let Chalk Package in front of Jurassic World Evolution 2 when it releases tomorrow on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and experience a world that has evolved!

Notice Let Chalk Package requires Jurassic Evolution 2 to play the base game.
