KENNESAW, Georgia – As fans eagerly await Kennesaw State Football’s arrival at the ASUN conference and home opener on Saturday, September 24, here are the top things to know and do in 2022.

1. Tailgate and park with over 750 spots in the Black Lot
Easy access and tailgating just steps from Fifth Third Bank Stadium are many places to tailgate and get to Kennesaw hassle free. The Black Lot has been expanded this season with over 750 parking spaces for an easier day of play. Fans who want to enjoy tailgating before the game starts can do so in the elevated Black lot. The presale price is $13 and the gameday price is $20 cashless.

The student parking lot is located in the Green Lot at Busbee Drive 3305. Student parking passes can be claimed every Monday and saved to their student card once the ticket office opens. Parking tickets for the Wofford game will be available starting Monday, September 19 at 10:00 AM. Students must claim a ticket to the game to be eligible for a parking ticket. If students do not claim in advance, they can scan their ID upon arrival if not all seats have been claimed yet.

2. Cashless
Fifth Third Bank Stadium, along with the Black and Gray parking lots, are cashless on match days. Major credit cards are accepted at cash registers, kiosks and parking entrances.

3. Mobile ticket sales

Student passes are free for all regular season home games. Click here to access student tickets, which will be available every home game week starting Monday at 10 a.m. Students can scan their student card during the competition if there are still places available.

4. Ports and bag Policy
Gates will open 60 minutes before kick-off, and to provide a safer environment, improve the fans’ experience and significantly speed up entry to Fifth Third Bank Stadium, Kennesaw State adheres to a clear baggage policy. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or one gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) are allowed in the stadium. Individuals may also carry a small handbag, no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap. All clear bags and purses are screened before entering the venue. All bags and purses that do not meet the above requirements, While allowed, childcare items, including diapers, must also be carried in an approved clear bag. Bags required for medical reasons are allowed and must be checked through the Georgia Natural Gas port.

5. Owl City and Owl Walk
A free pregame tailgate is back for Owl fans of all ages starting out two and a half hour before kick-off. Live bands, free food from JD’s BBQ, sponsor tents and more will stretch George Busbee Parkway to add to the gameday atmosphere. Alcohol can be purchased for those 21 and older with a variety of selections, including beverages from Wild Heaven Beer and Dry County Brewery.

Greet the stars of the field up close during Owl Walk. The team will be dropped off two hours before kick-off on Busbee Drive at the entrance to the green area. Led by the band and spirit squads, head coach Brian Bohannon will escort the owls from the buses to the stadium.

6. Food trucks and concessions
Fifth Third Bank Stadium has partnered with Premier Events to offer a variety of concessions at all events. You can expect standard stadium food along with local favorites including food trucks.

Beer, wine and hard seltzers are back for sale at KSU football games this season. Alcohol sales will stop at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Credit cards are accepted at the stadium; all transactions will be cashless.

This season’s food trucks, Jalapeno Corn Dog and Snowie, will serve up a tasty variety of dishes such as: “magic house sauce chicken tenders and tots”, corn dogs, funnel cakes, shaved ice, freshly squeezed lemonade and more.

7. Bus Routes Kennesaw State University offers safe and convenient shuttle options to and from home games and the Kennesaw Campus. For service from the Marietta Campus, take the Kennesaw/Marietta bus route to the Kennesaw Campus and change to the Campus Loop Route at the Rec Center stop. KSU shuttles will provide efficient race day service to students, fans, and educators throughout the 2022 season!

The Big Owl Bus is your designated transportation service to and from Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Buses run approx three and a half hours before to any home game and stops spinning at approx two hours after the game.

Service for the Kennesaw/Marietta route will be adjusted accordingly on race day. All shuttles are dropped off and picked up at the CCT Bus Stop, located on George Busbee Drive outside Fifth Third Bank Stadium. For kick-off at 6:00 PM, the Kennesaw/Marietta route leads directly to the Marietta campus after the race.

8. #FLIGHT26 and boom!
An exciting new tradition for the KSU community begins this season! FLIGHT26Nicknamed for the incoming KSU freshman class, the Owls will lead the field in their #FLIGHT26 jerseys ahead of the season opener on Saturday, September 24. Be there before kick-off to welcome the newest owls to parliament!

The KSU gun is also back this fall. Sponsored and operated by a rotating group of student organizations, a cannon will announce the team’s entrance onto the field and celebrate every touchdown and field goal the owls make this fall.

9. Get ready and stay up Date

10. Live the Suite Life
Enhance your gameday experience with a premium or concourse suite. Premium and concourse suites are available to provide fans with amenities, catering and access to make the most of their Saturday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Premium indoor suites can accommodate up to 20 fans, and hall suites can accommodate up to 16. New this year, suites can be merged with fans interested in a suite but have a smaller group.
