Today, warframe celebrates the release of the 50th in-game frame, Styanax, with Creative Director at Digital Extremes Rebecca “Rebb” Ford revealing her Top 5 Favorite Warframes in 2022 in honor of it. warframe‘s update also sees the release of the veil breaker quest, with the return of Kahl-175 as a playable character for the quest’s pursuits. New weekly activities and Archon Hunts against Narmer are also accessible, while Styanax is free for all players until September 21.
While Ford is also known to players as the voice of the Lotus, Ford previously served as Live Operations & Community Director at Digital Extremes. Now she moves to Creative Director of warframe, the company’s biggest game. This excitement precedes a new update for warframeand Ford’s choice to talk about which Warframes are currently her Top 5 is sure to whet the appetite of many fans.
Protea Warframe
Protea can use shattering shrapnel around the perimeter, command defense shields, use plasma blasts as attacks, and draw strength from her past. Using her skills, her Warframe model changes appearance and all gadgets on her tool belt are absent for the duration of the skill.
Ford pointed out that Protea’s kit was incredibly fun and flexible. The Temporal Anchor skill is one of the strangest skills, according to Ford warframe it came out. That craziness makes it bloom though. Protea can drop the temporary anchor for a short time, which is then rewound to initiate a temporary implosion. A move like this makes sense with Protea’s smoothness and versatility, as Ford mentions that all the features and animations come together harmoniously.
Baruuk Warframe
Baruuk’s presence in the warframe universe is seen through a clear narrative theme – the reclusive hero. This pisses off a pacifist Warframe, but that doesn’t mean Baruuk is powerless or scared. Baruuk is portrayed by its narrative theme as one who can avoid combat but is extremely skilled when forced to resort to them – reducing or preventing damage until a threshold is reached results in Baruuk turning into a powerful all-encompassing attack powerhouse launched.
Baruuk’s thematic story is a standout feature that Ford loves, claiming she feels Baruuk is one of the company’s strongest renditions of the reluctant hero. She further notes that learning his use of the constraint meter as he builds up his attack damage adds an extra level to her experience.
Revenant Warframe
It is said that Reverant serves the last rites to souls he leaves on fire. His lore says that he was once the guardian of the plain, guarding the tower of the Unum and preventing the Eidolon spirits from taking shape. He is bound by the real definition of a revenant, an undead person who returns to this world with a determined purpose. Usually this motive is revenge or some other evil they have endured.
These lore qualities are crucial to Revenant’s attacks and style. Ford has said she feels immortal and fast using Revenant. One of the most important aspects she mentions is how Revenant can control the dangerous warframe gangs that form to thwart her. Its subtle lethality is another critical focus that draws her attention to this Warframe, as it gives her more discretion for action as a player.
Trinity Warframe
Trinity is one of the oldest Warframes in the game, but that doesn’t mean it’s outdated. Trinity is known more for her defensive abilities than her damage, and this generally matches, as Trinity is known more for seeking recovery than violence. She can tap enemies’ powers and use it as a form of energy. In addition, she can fend off and break attacks on her or her allies.
Its status as one of the oldest Warframes is one of the main reasons Ford loves Trinity. Ford has stated that Trinity is like a second language to her as she has spent so much time with the Warframe since 2012. Trinity with a Warcry + Eternal War built for a Berserker Priestess.
Gauss Warframe
If speed is the name of the game, Gauss is the Warframe you want. Gauss is a speed-based Warframe that knows no boundaries and can even traverse the seas. He can’t just charge from enemy attacks; he can freeze his enemies to death before they can even move. Gauss, known as The Saint of Altra, once defeated a rebellion by racing through the enemy minefields and capturing the needed tower.
Ford humorously claims that Gauss is one of her favorites because “when you know, you know.” Thanks to Gauss’s already established speed abilities, additional mods and features allow him to massively increase his speed on all fronts and attacks. This can make Gauss not only a lightning fast, agile fighter, but also a powerhouse. With a sprint speed of 1.4, Gauss is the fastest of all Warframes. Gauss is a must for speed enthusiasts.
Styanax the 50th Warframe
warframes the latest update launches today and the release of the 50th Warframe, Styanax, will also drive players to the game. Since the Warframe is free for the first two weeks, until September 21, players must obtain the Warframe as soon as possible regardless of the progress.
With a harpoon gun and Afentis, Styanax can pin down enemies and throw them to the ground, with a host of other features available in his gear.
- Passive power – Increases the critical chance of weapons equal to the current shield value.
- Axios Javelin – Styanax can summon an Axios Javelin, which will push back any enemy hit with the ability. It can then drag enemies into a vortex when one is poked against the wall.
- Tharros Strike – This summons the shield, Tharros, of Styanax. Any enemy hit with the shield gives Styanax protection while reducing his shields and armor.
- meeting place – The third ability for Styanax draws the enemy’s attention to him and away from allies. Nearby allies get a boost in health and shields. The more enemies near Styanax, the more shield you recover.
- final Stand – This allows Styanax to soar into the air and throw an attack of spears. While damage is dealt on direct hits, indirect hits deal less damage to nearby enemies.
- Afentis – Styanax’s primary weapon in warframe stuns enemies and gives buffs to allies.
warframe was released in 2013 and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox One Series S/X, and the Nintendo Switch.
