Stories Noir is filled with multiple ways to find fun and different styles to play the game. Given the diversity on offer in classes, professions, outfits, and interior design, players will easily find ways to make themselves unique and maximize their enjoyment of the game.
When it comes to choosing a class, players will achieve greater success, be it PvE (Player vs Enemy) or PvP (Player vs Player) content, if they have the knowledge and information needed to realize their potential with a to take full advantage of a particular class. The lesson at the heart of this guide is for anyone interested in or already enjoying the Hunter class.
Hunter PvE Build
For the fighter, they have a bit more diversity than most classes when it comes to deciding what combinations of active and passive skills to take. The most powerful build for the Hunter is a high-burst build, also known as the Nuker build. The Nuker build is great for heavy boss fights, especially considering that fighters have the highest ST (Single Target) damage of all classes. This Dungeon-oriented build is packed with tons of AoE and ST damage, making it the optimal choice for Dungeons and can be used to efficiently clear the path to the boss.
Nuker construction:
- Elven Volley
- Split arrow
- Thunder Hawk
- Hawk Arrow
- Precision
- wind strike
Elven Volley deals a significant amount of damage during a short cooldown, making it one of the main sources of damage from the fighter. It’s a great basic skill for most builds given that it deals AoE damage while still being great for ST.
Split arrow deals a large amount of damage with a moderate cooldown. This ability is also great in most PvE scenarios and is another valuable damage option for the fighter. The animation on this skill is a bit longer than most, so players should make sure they don’t activate it during a Boss skill or it will be much harder to dodge.
Thunder Hawk is one of the strongest abilities for the fighter, increasing their auto attack speed and adding a 10% chance of damage burst with each auto attack. The cool-down period for this ability is very long, but it’s only fair considering how powerful it is. This is the skill that makes Hunter’s the best Boss Killers of any class, and if they’re lucky enough to keep the skill going repeatedly during Boss burst windows, they can make some extremely tough boss fights that much easier.
Hawk Arrow is another extremely powerful ability that deals a massive amount of damage after marking a target. This ability has the longest cooldown of any fighter skill, so players should make sure they don’t waste this skill on irrelevant enemies. Learning dungeon mechanics and routes will allow players to max out this ability, rather than using it on a garbage mob that triggers a Boss spawn.
Precision is a passive ability that increases the fighter’s hit rate, increasing the accuracy of auto attacks and abilities. While this may not seem like a big deal early in the game, as enemies never dodge attacks, it becomes a lot more useful later in the mid to late game. Even if the fighter has powerful abilities, what good is it if they miss? Leveling Precision ensures that the Hunter will still comfortably land more of their skills than other classes against more difficult targets with higher dodge rates.
wind strike is a passive ability that gives fighters the chance to increase their attack speed when they attack automatically or use a skill. The synergy this ability has with Thunder Hawk allows it to deal so much damage while active. Getting Thunder Hawk’s attack speed buff increases the player’s chances of triggering the Windstrike effect. Activating the Windstrike effect increases the chance of triggering Thunder Hawk’s damage bonus. This combination alone makes Hunter’s so deadly and unrivaled in the ST damage department.
Hunter PvP Build
- Split arrow
- Elven Volley
- hawk jump
- magnetic mine
- hard bow
- Precision
- wind strike
split arrow, aside from its damage capabilities and short cooldown, it works wonders in PvP as it naturally creates some distance between fighters and their enemies. Kite flying is essential against Melee classes like the Knight of Assassin and this ability makes it much easier to do so.
Elven Volley is great whether its Arena 1v1 or Battleground oriented PvP. Because it deals awesome ST and AoE damage, it works in both scenarios, which is why this ability is a staple in all Hunter builds. Groups of enemies will have their eyes on Hunters in combat, as players know that if left unchecked, the amount of damage they can deal will be too great to handle.
hawk jump does quite a bit of damage, but it’s more for his mobility in this build. Being able to jump great distances across the map allows players to reach locations faster than others. It’s only great for flying kites in combat or dodging powerful skills. Without this ability, the fighter will be a seated duck for most melee classes.
magnetic mine is not only great for flying kites, but it is also useful for ambush enemies. This ability immobilizes and damages enemies that come into contact with it, and is the best form of CC (Crowd Control) available to the fighter. This ability isn’t great for Arena matches against other Ranged classes, but in Battleground it’s invaluable. Not only does it help with flying Melee Classes, it can also set up other teammates for a quick and easy kill on a captured Ranged target.
hard bow increases the inflicted Auto Attack Damage. While this is very simple, it has a great synergy with Windstrike. Since Windstrike allows fighters to increase their attack speed, Hard Bow’s efficiency skyrockets, making their automatic attacks even more deadly.
Precision is a passive ability that increases the hit rate. Higher accuracy helps a lot against the Hunter’s toughest PvP matchup, the Assassin, as they are extremely mobile and evasive. Making more attacks is also an indirect way to increase the fighter’s total damage.
wind strike is a passive ability that gives the fighter the chance to increase their attack speed when using auto attacks or abilities. Hunters rely heavily on this ability to give them damage boosts in linking scenarios. While there’s a bit of randomness to take into account when using a skill that activates with a 10% chance, it’s still pretty consistent in combat.
