NIS America’s Showcase Live took place earlier today and we got a glimpse of four brand new Switch games coming in 2023.

The publisher – known for the Disgaea and Trails series – has unveiled four new western releases for us to enjoy next year. And you can get the lowdown on what those four are in our quick recap of the show.

Grim Grimoire Once More

GrimGrimoire OnceMore was announced for Japan earlier this year, and now we finally know that Vanillaware’s stunning-looking real-time strategy game – which launched on the PS2 in 2007 – will be coming west as well. and on Switch next spring.

GrimGrimoire OnceMore joins 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim on the hybrid console, becoming the second Vanillaware title on the system.

Join aspiring magician Lillet Blan on her journey at the Silver Star Tower, a renowned academy for magicians. Not all is as it seems within the tower walls – mysteries, monsters and threats lurk. Use the power of magic to dispel the secrets hidden in the tower and rediscover the truth of the Silver Star Tower!

NISA’s next title is the adorable Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook, a dungeon crawler come strategy RPG with loads of delicious looking food!

The game’s cute anime aesthetic invites players to dive into the dungeons, customize characters, and take a break by the fire. Well you have to somewhere to enjoy those snacks, right? Perfect for a monster picnic in the spring of 2023.

Tighten up your backpack and loosen your belt before crawling into this dungeon survival adventure! Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook refines the classic SRPG formula with deliciously fun cooking-based mechanics. Enjoy detailed character creation for your party, collect resources, ingredients and items while exploring and fight monsters in tactical battles. Then sit back by the campfire as you use what you’ve collected to prepare meals that can give you the edge for your next dungeon exploration course.

Process of elimination

Ahh, we love a good chunk of anime murder mystery, and NISA’s next title – Process of Elimination – seems to be just that. 14 detectives gather on an island in A danganronpa-like murder mystery game – one of them is a murderer, and it’s up to you to find out who it is.

The Quartering Duke is a pretty cool, albeit chilling name for a serial killer. Imagine being stuck on an island with them! Well, you don’t have to, because the game is coming to Switch early next year.

The Quartering Duke, a notorious serial killer with more than a hundred victims, has thrown the country into chaos with his heinous acts. To end his killing spree, the “Detective Alliance”, made up of the world’s top detectives, has come together to expose and subdue him.

However, in a series of unforeseen events, an ambitious but unobtrusive detective named Wato Hojo stumbles into their operations. He joins the Detective Alliance on the mysterious island of Morgue to investigate the Quartering Duke, but makes the horrifying discovery that their target is lurking beneath them! Can these detectives prove their innocence and reveal the identity of the Quartering Duke before things get cold?

void* tRrLM2(); //Void Terrarium 2

Last but not least, next year we’ll get a second dungeon crawler from NIS America in the form of void* tRrLM2();, or just Empty terrarium 2.

Set in small glass boxes, this sequel seems to return to the cute, melancholy style of the first game. You have to maintain the humidity in these small dungeons as you loot for chests and goods. And, appropriately, this terrarium will bloom in the spring of next year.

Immerse yourself in a dystopian world infested with poisonous fungi, where a robot watches over the latter
surviving human. Nippon Ichi Software presents the second installment in the Void Terrarium series which:
follows the aftermath of the defeated cloudAI’s plot to bring humanity back to life.

Robbie the robot and his human friend, Toriko, lived peacefully until she fell ill with a deadly new disease. To save her, Robbie must venture into the past and search the remnants of cloudAI’s memories to uncover clues about this mysterious disease in order to ensure the survival of the world’s last human.
