October is almost upon us and as we settle into fall (or fall for our American friends), we can look forward to more free games as part of our PS Plus subscription.
Members of the Essential tier ate well last month and got Need for speed heat, TUM and Granblue: Fantasy versus.

So let’s look into our (Halloween-themed) crystal ball for predictions and our wishlist for which games we’d like to see on PS Plus in October 2022.
PS Plus Essential Game Predictions for October 2022
Prediction 1 – The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
A horror game for the season of ghosts and ghosts seems like a good idea. And Supermassive Games have had a good run for their dark photos series of games that are released annually around this time.
In fact, they have a new entry this year – The Devil in Me – so we think it would be appropriate to offer last year’s House of Ashes to PS Plus subscribers.
Not only would it gain fans for this year’s entry, but it would also be great to sit around the telly with friends and enjoy a few scares.
In a similar vein, we’d also love to see (from the same developers, but not part of the Dark Pictures Anthology) the quarry at.
However, since that only came out this year – if it’s on PS Plus, we think it’s more likely to hit the Extra or Premium tiers.

Prediction 2: Resident Evil 2 Remake
Again with the horror slant, but this has the potential of an easy win for Sony. The recent Resident Evil remakes were superbly done, giving the survival horror classics of the 90s a modern makeover.
They also changed a lot of things, of course, and for our money? Resident Evil 2 Remake has been the most successful in this endeavor to date.
Considering the upcoming Winter’s Expansion DLC for Resident Evil Villageand the coming Resident Evil 4 remake in March – now seems like a good time to give fans the best Resident Evil remake yet on PS Plus.

Essential Wildcard Prediction: Batman Arkham Collection
Gotham Knights is another game coming out in October – a DC game that starts with the death of Batman. So for those craving a more immediate bat fix, we recommend the Batman Arkham Collection.
It is a collection of three fantastic games starring the Caped Crusader – each of which Gotham City expands more than the last. Promised, Arkham Knight (the most recent) has been on PS Plus before, but it would be nice to see the collection added to the essential offerings list.
