My Hero Academia continues its Final War arc with action that has only intensified in recent weeks. The battle against Shigaraki Tomura heats up and, as fans saw, the Heroes somehow manage to continue their offensive against him. Previously, Bakugo was able to damage Shigaraki to some extent, but shortly after, he was stabbed through the chest and left to die. Bakugo was not expected to die an unfulfilled death, and, as many fans predicted, his return is already in full swing.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

My Hero Academia 365 paved the way for Bakugo to come back to life and all of that was made possible by the combined effort of Best Jeanist and, along with him, the number 4 hero, Edgeshot. At the same time, fans could watch Mirko step it up and fire a barrage of attacks at the all-powerful Shigaraki Tomura. Though cornered, the Heroes continue to fight to the best of their ability.

Edgeshot’s Sacrifice

Edgeshot was one of the biggest highlights of My Hero Academia 365 and, as fans saw towards the end of the previous chapter, he was preparing to save Bakugo. To pull this off, however, his own life begins to fade. Edgeshot’ Quirk allows him to flatten or stretch his body at will. As such, it can turn itself into something as thin as fiber and penetrate one’s body. He plans to enter Bakugo’s chest and take care of the injuries he sustained from Shigaraki from within. While this seems pretty plausible at first glance, there are some question marks over the way Horikoshi chose to go about it.

No doubt Edgeshot can easily penetrate Bakugo’s body, but possessing the technical complexity to actually save Bakugo is something that is rather questionable. Nevertheless, it seems that that is exactly what he will do and resuscitate Bakugo from the inside. As such, as many fans predicted, Bakugo will be rescued pretty soon and may even return to battle despite sustaining horrific injuries, with Edgeshot becoming his heart.

Mirko in action

While Edgeshot shined heavily in the first half of My Hero Academia 365, was the second half of none other than the number five hero, Rumi Usagiyama, popularly known as Mirko. In the previous war, fans saw Mirko fighting with grit and shooting multiple Nomus at once by putting her life on the line. Here her rendering was not much different and she was able to protect Best Jeanist, Bakugo and Edgeshot all by herself. With her amazing fighting skills, she was able to deliver several powerful blows to Shigaraki at the expense of her arms, and, surprisingly, inflict damage on him.

Mirko regretted that she could not make it in time during the Paranormal Liberation War, but this time every hero will give everything. Mirko’s physical prowess was fully on display in My Hero Academia chapter 365 and her ultimate attack, Luna Rush, managed to hurt Shigaraki quite a bit. At the same time, fans also saw Mirio getting involved again and opening openings for Mirko to deliver her powerful punches.

Shigaraki .’s Inner Conflict

Shigaraki has been having an inner conflict for a while and, as fans know, his thoughts are not completely resolved. In My Hero Academia Chapter 365 saw fans reminisce about his past. The deep scars left alone on his heart began to reappear after a heavy blow from Mirko. Shigaraki began to think about the fact that there was no one to help him, and with that, strange protrusions resembling Heroes began to appear. At first glance, it looks like things aren’t going to end well for the Heroes in the next chapter, as Shigaraki starts to lose control.

The most important of these, however, is that Shigaraki faces heroes that begin to emerge from him. When he needed help, they certainly weren’t there for him, but getting help later is still something he, in the depths of his heart, still wants. Shigaraki has done irreparable damage to the Hero Society and redemption should not be an option for him, but that seems to be the path Horikoshi is taking with him. For now, the Heroes are barely holding out against Shigaraki and his monstrous powers. Whether the emergence of Heroes from their bodies will play in their favor or not remains to be seen. Anyway, the story seems to take quite an interesting turn with Shigaraki Tomura. The upcoming chapters are expected to be pivotal in shaping his character arc. Fans will likely see more of his internal struggles in the following chapters of the arc.
