Madden 23’s Franchise Mode is the selection mode for many players to play every year, and a Connected Franchise (CFM) can be even more exciting, allowing you to join a league with up to 31 other players and create your own NFL universe of star rookies, burgeoning dynasties and heated rivalries. But a particularly annoying and unfortunately widespread bug is currently causing problems for affiliated franchisees. Often times, final scores aren’t saved, and in some cases the league even travels back in time, such as moving from the middle of the regular season to suddenly the middle of the previous NFL Draft.

Suffice to say, this is incredibly frustrating for CFM players, as stats, scores, and other milestones can all be wiped out in the blink of an eye due to what appears to be a cloud sync issue. We’ve reached out to EA for comment — and hopefully guidance — on how to fix this issue until a patch fixes it, but in the meantime, a prominent CFM league believes it may have found a workaround for the franchise’s glitch. the game, at least in cases where a game’s final score and stats don’t seem to have been saved.

Madden 23 Connected Franchise Bug Fix – First Method

To start, we’ll explain what this bug looks like in-game. Imagine you just played a game against an opponent in week 3 of the regular season. When you go back to the Franchise menu, you should see things like the box score and new player upgrades. Instead, many players all too often find that their just played game is right there in the menu waiting to be played as if it never was.

This can drive Madden players against the wall, as it either requires the league commissioner to force a win for the rightful team at the cost of actually recorded stats and injuries, or the two teams must replay the game. Many leagues, including mine, are desperate for a solution to this, and the Madden Loyalty League (MLL) may even have one, at least in cases where the final score is not displayed in the post-match menu before players return to the main menu.

According to the MLL, players can recover their saved data with a few short steps after the game:

  • If no final score is displayed in the post-match menu, both players must open the score sheet.
  • This should restore the final score and make it appear where it once was missing – you can see the before and after shots in the image below.
  • Proceed to the main CFM menu and check the status of your game. It should now be saved.

It should be noted that both the MLL and the commenters on Twitter have suggested that this solution is not guaranteed to work, so unfortunately your mileage may vary. Still, it’s worth a try, because it only takes a moment. If it still doesn’t work, read on.

Madden 23 Connected Franchise Bug Fix – Alternative Method

If the above method doesn’t work in your case, I recently personally came across what could be an alternative solution. After my week 3 game ended, I returned to the main CFM menu to find that none of it had been saved and the game suggested that I prepare to play against the Ravens, the team I just had in a close battle. defeated. It was the first time I encountered this bug and I felt absolutely depressed.

Not knowing what to do, I turned off my Xbox and went about my day, but in about two minutes I turned the game back on using Xbox’s Quick Resume feature, just to get a better understanding of what was going on. went wrong. The game needed to reconnect to EA’s servers, so I asked it to do this, and once that was done, the game history was suddenly there.

Having to simulate or replay a game even after defeat can be demoralizing for a competitive Madden player.
Having to simulate or replay a game even after defeat can be demoralizing for a competitive Madden player.

With that in mind, I invite you to try the same method if you find yourself needing to replay a game in the CFM menu:

  • Without shutting down Madden 23, turn off your console by putting it into standby (PS5) or Instant-On (Xbox) mode. This should disconnect the game from the servers.
  • Turn your console back on and reconnect to EA servers in Madden 23.
  • Check the status of your game.

Like the above method, this has not proved 100% reliable in my competition, so Madden players unfortunately don’t have a completely reliable solution at the moment. But knowing and using these two methods should help to save some matches in your league, even if others are not so lucky.

In the meantime, we hope to hear from EA soon as to why this is plaguing the game mode, what figurative patches players can apply in the meantime, and when to expect an official patch.
