Emphasis has been placed this season on improving the matchday experience for those attending UofL matches.

Below are several additions to Cardinal Stadium that fans will notice as they enter Cardinal Stadium on Friday night.

Accelerated Point of Entry

To speed up the gate access process, new pedestal scanners will be installed at the two busiest gates (2 and 4). Walk-thru security will also be implemented, using stationary magnetic scanners, replacing the handheld/manual scanners from previous seasons. Fans can now hold phones in their hands and keys/wallets in their pockets.

Wi-Fi connectivity

$5 million has been invested in installing Wi-Fi access for fans to enhance their wireless gaming experience, allowing fans to not only use the free Wi-Fi system, but also enjoy more on-site digital engagement opportunities. “CardinalsWiFi” will be available in the stadium

Club Room Upgrades

A generous $4 million gift from ANGEL’S ENVY led the way for the renovation of the former Brown & Williamson Club on the west side of the stadium into the sprawling 18,000-square-foot Angel’s Envy Bourbon Club. The revamped club was officially unveiled last week. Read more here.

Improvements in concessions

In an effort to improve concessions, grab-and-go stations labeled “On the Fly” have been installed in key areas to make much-demanded options more readily available to reduce wait times. Other fan favorite concessions include the introduction of $4 beer options in select hall areas and the return of half-priced drinks from the time the gates open to kick-off as part of “Happy Hour and a Half.” In addition, a free concession item is now available during select times of each game in all club rooms.

Mobile ticketing

Mobile access is now available at all venues, including Cardinal Stadium. Fans no longer need to print tickets and don’t forget to bring them to the games. Mobile ticketing allows you to view, scan, send and sell your tickets right from your mobile device. All ticket buyers can access their tickets via the CardsMobile app (download by visiting gocards.com/cardsmobile) or via their mobile device’s web browser at gocards.com/account.

Print-at-home paper tickets (PDFs) are not accepted at any Louisville Athletics location to further combat fraud and counterfeiting often associated with PDF tickets. To avoid any issues on match day, please collect your mobile tickets before arriving at the venue and charge your mobile device. Users must add their tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay for added convenience. For more information, visit gocards.com/tickethub.

Clear Bag Policy

A clear bag policy will remain in effect at all Louisville Athletics facilities. A list of approved bags can be found here.

Parking

The parking lots will open 5 hours before kick-off. Parking attendants in the purple parking lots will use the “first come, first served” method “speed parking” to park vehicles when they arrive. All seats are reserved in the Sun Tan City Bronze lots and Platinum lot S.

The Alley by Buffalo Construction, Inc.

The Alley of Buffalo Construction, Inc. returns for a second year as the premier pre-game social setting on South Floyd Street, directly opposite the entrance to Cardinal Stadium. The space offers a unique destination for fans looking for a fun venue to gather with family and friends before kickoff. Located on approximately an acre on the corner of Boxley and South Floyd, The Alley features an expansive courtyard complete with turf for yard games, live entertainment, numerous drink options and food trucks. The Alley is free and open to all fans. It opens four hours before kick-off and closes about 30 minutes before the start of the game to encourage fans to be in the stadium for kick-off. The facility will also be open one hour after the game.
