Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.23 (PS5 Version 1.230) has been released by Polyphony Digital, and this is the big September 2022 update for the game! This brings new cars, landscapes and more! Read on for the September 29 GT7 patch notes.

The official patch notes containing the gameplay changes have not yet been released, but we do know that the new content will be released today.

Key Features Implemented

1. Cars
– The following three new cars have been added:
・Nissan Silvia K’s Type S (S14) ’94 (on sale at ‘Legend Cars’ from September 29);
Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Spyder
・Volkswagen ID.R ’19

2. Cafe
– The following menu book has been added:
・Menu Book No. 45: ‘The Silvia Sisters’ (Collector Level 27 and above);
– The following two Extra Menus have been added:
・Additional Menu No. 8: ‘Collection: Corvette’ (Collector Level 20 and above);
・Additional Menu No. 9: ‘Collection: Porsche with mid-engine’ (Collector Level 45 and above;

The new menu books and extra menus will appear after you clear Menu Book No. 39 (“Championship: World GT Series”) and see the ending.

3. World Circuits
– The following new events have been added to ‘World Circuits’:
Silvia Sisters
– Willow Springs International Raceway: Streets of Willow Springs
– Tsukuba Circuit
– Deep Forest Raceway Reverse
・Japanese FR Challenge 450
– Autopolis International Racing Course
・American Clubman Cup 700
– Trial Mountain Circuit
・World Touring Car 800
– Tokyo Expressway East clockwise

‘World Touring Car 800’ appears after clearing Menu Book No. 39 (‘Championship: World GT Series’) and after seeing the ending.

4. Landscapes
– The ‘California II’ and ‘Tokyo II’ locations have been added as featured Curations in Scapes.

5. Livery Editor
– Added six MAZDA SPIRIT RACING logo decals. These can be selected in the Livery Editor if the current car is a Mazda.

Other improvements and adjustments

1. Lobby / Meeting Place / Sports
– Improved network connectivity;
– Fixed an issue where the car would stop moving if it was no longer on the handbrake in the pit lane during practice at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross Layout;
– Fixed an issue where the ‘My Record’ time displayed during a race was incorrect in an online time trial;
– The cursor moves to ‘Exit’ when you press the cancel button in the quick menu. When selecting ‘Exit’ the dialog ‘Do you want to quit?’ is now displayed.

2. Race screen
– Fixed an issue where the tank indicator was incorrect in races with fuel economy enabled.

3. License Center
– Fixed an issue where the ghost car would be placed in a different starting position than the player if ‘Show demonstrator ghost’ was enabled in ‘S-8’ and ‘S-10’ license.

4. Car Settings
– Changed the calculation of the Performance Points (PP) in ‘Car Settings’ so that measurements are taken with standard Differential Gear (LSD) and Suspension settings.

5. Garage
– Fixed an issue where changing the settings of the current car in ‘Garage’ caused that car to appear at the top even if the sort order was set to ‘By Date Acquired’;
– Fixed an issue where the sort order was incorrect when ‘Last used’ was selected in the ‘Auto change’ menu.

6. Steering controllers
– Added support for the Logitech® G PRO Racing Wheel;
– Added a button configuration menu for the Fanatec® Stage in ‘Options’ > ‘Controllers’;
– Added the ability to connect to a different shifter than the one currently used for Fanatec handlebar controllers;
– Added rotary encoder support for Fanatec steering controllers. (Models with rotary encoders such as the Clubsport Steering Wheel Formula V2 can be used);

7. Others
– Several other issues have been addressed.
