Series 11 – Spring sees the end of Forza Horizon 5‘s most recent season, but with it comes a lot of new challenges, stunts and races. As always, we’ve got the best cars and the best tunes you need to complete the latest weekly festival playlist challenges.

Part 1: #Forzathon Weekly Challenge – Lightweight Experts

The subject of this week’s regular “Do things in a car” challenge is a Lotus, but not just any Lotus. No, this is the 2012 Lotus Exige S. Called the S because apparently it’s a lot faster than the regular Exige, which is again a more extreme, tougher version of the Elise, this promises to be a bit of fun.

It’s pretty much the pinnacle of Colin Chapman’s “simplify and add lightness” motto that he apparently had when he founded Lotus cars all those years ago. You can get this car at the Auto Show for the royal sum of credits, or you can just win the speedzone challenge this week, which will get you the car.

Chapter 1 – For the drivers

Get in and drive your shiny Exige S.

Step One Complete!

Chapter 2 – Lotus Champion

Surprisingly, given the background of these things, we have to go out there and win a road race in it. Or maybe not so surprising…

Pick one you like and stock finish should be enough to get you through it.

Chapter 3 – Full Speed Ahead

Next, we need to acquire some speed skills in our little flying machine, 15 to be exact.

Get on the main east-west highway and just drive as fast as you can to complete this step.

Again, speed skills are related to the top speed of the car you are driving, so no tuning is required. It’s fun though, so I made this part code to try and blow the wheels off: 222816249.

Chapter 4 – Boundless

We need to keep the speed theme here and now earn six stars at speed traps in the little Exige. The highway we were just on has a few speed traps, so maybe a final explosion there will give us what we need?

And once that sixth star hits the back of the net (you all keep your stars in the nets, right?) then the weekly challenge is complete.

Part 2 – Weekly Challenges

We love the weekly challenges, especially because they are the backbone of what’s out there. For Series 11 Spring we have the usual season championships, some PR stunts and The Trial. Ready for it?

The Trial – Stock Showdown: Megane RS

Hopefully the subject of this week’s Trial Stock Showdown will handle a little better than last week’s as that Volvo acted like its tires were made of butter.

Renaultsport cars have a good reputation for handling, so since we’re supposed to be running a Megane RS this week, in stock trim, it should be a bit more fun.

Finding a team that understands that this is a cooperative race, and that when one does well, we all do well, is a pretty big important part here, and if we can avoid running into each other and focus on the driverbots, we will all do much better. May the odds be forever in your favor…

For forging a team from randoms on the internet, we are rewarded with a rare car, the kind of Honda Civic Touring Car.

Seasonal Playground Games – Team King

Another invitation to play a game this week (it kinda looks like SAW now that I think of it) and this time the game is Team King.

In Team King, some players have crowns and after a while the crown becomes a burden and they have to pass it on to a teammate. Meanwhile, the other team tries to steal the crown. Everything clear?

This week we’re limited to Sports Utility Heroes only, from 2010 or later, up to a maximum of A-Class 800. As always, the answer to this question is a Bentley Bentayga, a strong contender for the world’s ugliest car, and its share code is: 118494657.

The reward for participating (either won or lost, everyone is a winner in Playground Games) is a rally fighter.

Speed Zone – Trebol

As usual, we now have to maintain an average speed across the zone – it’s a lot easier to type it than it is to do it.

This time the magic number is 228 mph, so we need something crazy fast, and with a 2010 or later restriction and S1 Class 900, it’s going to be a challenge.

I chose a Noble M600, and the sharing code is: 183334620. As I approached from the far left, trying to dodge all the traffic, I saw myself on the right.

This will give us the Lotus Exige S we need for the weekly challenge should we feel thrifty.

Speed trap – Gran Puente

The police in this country don’t offer any rewards for shooting speed cameras as fast as possible, oddly enough, unless you count points on your driver’s license. Fortunately, Mexico is a lot easier to deal with, so we have to take an S1 Class 900 car, 2010 or later, and drive 210mph past the camera.

I used the same Noble M600 I built for the speed zone. Again, the biggest challenge is the traffic!

The reward this week is a Land Rover Defender, the 2020 model, which is nice. In any case, more fun than a call through the post.

Drift Zone

I always get a little happier when I see a drift challenge on the menu, so imagine the smile on my face with this one.

Take a car in S1 Class 900, make it a fairly new car (after 2010) and score 150,000 drift points. Simple, right? Fortunately, the Formula Drift GR Supra is ideal for this task, with no upgrades required. Too bad I can’t use the older Supra, but rules are rules.

The reward for sliding around? A Super Wheelspin, as usual.

Season Championship – Paving the way

The first of the championships this week is going to be a fast one!

Pick up a post-2010 Hypercar, tune it to S2 Class 998 and go racing. What could go wrong? I went with a trusty 2017 Koenigsegg Agera (the same one I recommend in the Hot Wheels section, money saving fans) and the share code is: 109282883.

If you win the championship, or the best two out of three in a convoy, you get a Porsche Cayman. Which feels very slow…

Season Championship – Newcomers

This series of races promises to be a little easier than the last, as while the car’s age restriction remains the same, racing is now limited to 800 A class.

I went with a 2017 Bentley Continental Supersport, mainly because it’s already damn fast and AWD, and the part code is: 102502146.

If we win, we’ll get a 2018 BMW M5. That’s great.

Season Championship – Off the Road Again

Last but not least, we have the obligatory off-road races.

Again, we need a car built after 2010, and again it is limited to 800 A class and this time to unrestricted off-road vehicles. I went way past 2010, with the 2554 Halo Warthog. The share code for this beast is: 980774271.

If you fight your way to victory (even if only, right?) you get a Maserati Levante.

Part 3 – Other Challenges

Anything left for spring? Well, you have some collectibles to take on and a photo challenge to enjoy.

Photo Challenge – #NEWCARSMELL

Let’s take a picture, shall we?

This week we need the Toyota GR Supra (GR stands for Gazoo Racing, fact fans, Toyota’s racing partners) and we have to drive to the Horizon Mexico Festival and run away.

I’ll be trying to come up with a suitable colorway for this photo this week, so check out my photo below and let me know what you think. I’ll also drop by the venue in case you’re confused.

Step away for a pair of funky watermelon crew socks.

Collectibles – Strike Gold!

It’s been a minute since we last had a great weekly collectible challenge, so it’s nice to see it making a comeback. This week we have to find and break 20 gold trophies in Club de Opalo de Fuego. How hard can it be?

I’ll share a photo of one before I break them, and also a photo of the area where you’ll find them.

The reward is sweet, a Ferrari 599 tuned by Formula D. Let’s go sideways!

Part 4 – Hot Wheels Events

The Hot Wheels events are back with Series 11 Spring and while you have to be Elite level to take them, they bring even more fun.

Danger Zone – Canyon Fire

This challenge requires us to take a new car, 2010 or later, and set it up to S1 Class 900. Then jump off a ramp and up 415 meters!

I used a 2013 Audi R8 Coupe, part code: 123883076 and approached as straight as possible. Using the circular bend with the speed boosters I was able to do it.

Jumping around will give you a Super Wheelspin.

Season Championship – Warp Speed

This is a much more appealing prospect, a series of races in S2 Class 998 cars from 2010 or later? Sign me up!

Well, super fast cars and quite modern, why not Koenigsegg? I went with a 2017 Agera RS and the part code is 109282883. This thing can shift, trust me! Some eyeball recalibration may be necessary, I don’t think it went slower than 180mph during the first race.

The price for all this lightning-fast craziness? A Renault Clio. Not really in the same class, but nice enough I guess…

Remember, unless you’ve completed them before in the Series, you’ll have some clean hot laps to do over the Forza EV Los Jardines Circuit and Bahia de Plano Circuit. There is also another chance to enjoy the Made in Mexico story.

Take in all of the above and you’ll earn enough points to earn the Spring Rewards of the Xpeng P7 for 20 points and the BMW E92 M3 GTS for 40 points. Add in the full series rewards of the BMW M4 ’21 for 80 pts and the MB 300 SLR for 160 pts and it will be a job.

Don’t forget to comment in the comments if you like this guide – or not – and be sure to check back here next week at this time as we walk you through the best way to complete the new Weekly Challenges in Series 12 – this one promises to take us on a Road Trip with new body kits, new races, new cars and new challenges. We can not wait.

If you don’t already own a copy of Forza Horizon 5, it’s playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via the Xbox store. It’s also on Game Pass, while the Hot Wheels expansion costs real money.
