If you are serious about your cars and you love Forza Horizon 5 then the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges will undoubtedly be of great importance. But they are not always easy to fill; sometimes you just need a hand with the fastest cars and the best tunes. And that’s what we’ve sorted as Series 12 heads into the fall.
This week there are new season championships, as well as some extra PR stunts and the joy of The Trial. Expect to be found with the Photo Challenge, some Treasure Hunt goodness and The Eliminator madness too.
Part 1: #Forzathon Weekly Challenge – 1107
This week the subject of the weekly challenge is a little unusual to say the least. We have things to own and do in the 1970 #1107 Desert Dingo Stock Bug, a car not known for being blazing fast, based on one of the most asthmatic, underpowered cars ever released on an unsuspecting world, the ass-engine VW Beetle. .
Still, at least it only cost 25,000 Auto Show credits, and that’s your fate, because it’s not a prize this week.
Chapter 1 – Lock, Stock and 2 Smokin’ Tires
However you get it, give it a try and step one is done.
Chapter 2 – Beetle in the Baja
Now stock it up and win a dirt race because apparently class 11 means no upgrades.
Apart from the bigger wheels and roll cage and no windows of course!
Should be pretty easy, but lower the difficulty if you’re having a hard time.
Chapter 3 – Paving a Path
Now we need to win a total of 6 stars from Trailblazer events in this little thing, and while it’s stock it’s very slow, but at least it makes up for it with terrible handling.
It’s not clear whether we should stock up or not for this event, so I played it safe and went for a short Trailblazer that can be repeated quickly to collect the stars.
Chapter 4 – That’s a wrap
Then take a picture of the Desert Dingo with, and I quote, “Mexico as the background”. So wherever you end up after the last run on a Trailblazer, snap a photo of the car and that completes this week’s challenge.
Part 2 – Weekly Challenges
It’s time for more of the kind of stuff we come here for every week, with PR stunts, races, the Trial, and even my personal favorite, the raunchy blob of the Eventlab event for a good night out. Let’s see what we need to win big, shall we?
The trial – Cross-country sports
Ah, the Trial, the weekly ordeal of trying to get people off the internet just long enough to team up to defeat some unbeatable Driverbots. Assuming fate kindly smiles at you, and you don’t end up teaming up with Crashy McTeamsmasher, you want to know what’s in store for you, yeah?
Well, it’s Sports Utility Heroes class cars this week, tuned to a maximum of B class 700, and of the not huge choice I went with the Maserati Levante S, in stock finish as it’s almost ceiling as it comes. We need to save those pennies where we can!
If you win, you get an Alumi Craft C10 Race Car.
Eventlab – Edelmaenn presents Jungle-Coaster /XE /Day
Another installment in my favorite ongoing roundup of fun, this week’s Eventlab features a very catchy title and the promise of even more stupidity.
This game/race requires us to use an Extreme-E vehicle, so I went with my favorite, the No.44 X44, another snappy name if I ever saw one! Mine is slightly battered and the part code is: 164790581.
It’s not often I directly criticize these events, as regular readers will know, but this is the worst of these events I’ve played.
There’s no power to the track, it’s full of stupid jumps you have to clear or get stuck in, and I’ve managed to lock myself in so much that even resetting the auto position just brings me back to a jump I can’t make it. Thanks Edelmaenn, but if you could never make another song again, it would be too soon.
I think in one of the circles of hell, the people who make these stupid courses should be forced to play them forever.
Winning this event gives us a Puebla Mexican Suit.

Horizon Arcade – Minigames
The return of normal service after that travesty, the Horizon Arcade minigames return and we have to complete three stages in each of them.
Choose from Drift, Speed, Chaos, Air and Wreckage. Of these, a Drift event is my favorite, especially as I know that in my trusty Formula Drift Supra Mk IV I can complete a full run on my own. But more people will make it easier.
Complete this to earn a whopping 3 points towards this week’s prizes.
Danger sign – Cascadas
It takes an S2 class car of any flavor you want to make this leap, and a great distance is too. 335 meters to be exact, which is a long way to get your wheels off the ground!
With the approach from the south mainly by road, I went with a car built for extreme speeds, and used a trusty Koenigsegg Agera, the same as last week! The part code is 109282883, and as I pulled into the driveway at 230 mph, I was able to clear the distance. Just look at the trees on the way in.
Have a Super Wheelspin for your troubles.

Speed zone – Cordillera
A different event, the same restrictions and an average speed of 120 mph is required to win.
Now, since this one is off road, the Agera won’t make it, so I went with a Renault 8 Gordini, part code: 777821777.
This is quite a challenge, with some tricky turns, but cut as much as you dare and you should be fine.
Another Super Wheelspin awaits if you can conquer the dirt.
Trail Blazer – The Juggernaut
The same restrictions apply here as before, an S2 class car, whoever you want, and a race across the country. We have to finish this Trailblazer with over 100 seconds on the clock, and it’s going to be tough but doable I think.
I went with a BMW X5 Forza Edition bred to be good off road, and with a few boom crashes along the way I still managed to clear the track with 102 seconds to go. It’s a long run though, so don’t be shy about using the rewind feature if you need to. The share code is: 519084427.
Another Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Season Championship – The Titan
Another week, another very long race to try, and this time it’s the Titan race’s turn.
We have to use an Unlimited Buggy, ironically limited to a B-class 700, so I chose the trusty Penhall Cholla, with a part code of: 118918756. Ten minutes of carnage will follow, but this car will win.
Your reward is a Bentley Bentayga, something I suppose.
Season Championship – Cross-Country Endurance
Another week, another selection of five races instead of the usual three, and this time we have to use an Unlimited Offroad vehicle, limited to A Class 800. Someone should send the folks at Playground Games a dictionary with Unlimited underlined. ..
Anyway, the answer to the question is the insanely fast Jeep Trailcvat, and in this case the part code is: 118411445.
A Toyota Land Cruiser, an FJ40, will be yours if you win the championship solo, or most races in a convoy.
Season Championship – Cross-Country Odyssey
A series limited to just C-Class 600, but also just pick-ups and 4X4s? Oh my. But let’s make the best of a bad job and pick something nice, shall we?
I went with a Land Rover Defender, with a part code of: 123449250. This may be slow, but so is the rest of the field, so brace yourself for some mild racing.
You win a Jeep Cherokee ’14 for your effort, which just happens to be the car we need for this week’s photo challenge. Correctly!
Part 3 – Other Challenges
Just the usual stuff here this week – a bit of a picture, a touch of treasure hunt and a spot from The Eliminator. Let’s see what’s what, shall we?
Photo Challenge – #INTOTHEBAJA
Snap a photo of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee SRT at the Baja Festival site. Sounds easy enough, right?
For the most part, that’s because it is! I’ll share my efforts below along with the location in case you’re easily confused.
Your price for getting all snap happy? A dial-up modem horn. I think I’m the only one old enough to remember dial-up modems, especially the 9600 baud versions.

Treasure Hunt – Dune Buggy
Bit of a brain teaser this week – “Only a buggy can get so muddy and leave your opponents all over the country” reads the clue, so I deduce it’s a cross country race to be won in a buggy?
Well, the picture accompanying the clue is again of the Desert Dingo, so I dusted it off and tried to see if this was the key. And what do you know, it was!
I will attach a photo of the location to assist with your hunt.
The chest contains 100 FP, which is always nice.

The Eliminator – Battle Royale
You know the routine here by now, join The Eliminator and survive to finish in the top 30 to complete this challenge.
Whether you prefer to swish car and try to force the problem, or hide in a bush on top of a mountain (my preferred method), just do your best.
If you manage to stay in the running long enough, you’ll get a “MWAHAHAHA” Forza link phrase, just in case you’re going for world domination…
Part 4 – Hot Wheels Events
Series 12 – Autumn Covers the Base with the Hot Wheels events too.
Speed Trap – Hammer’s Shadow
In line with the other events, we need an S2 Class 998 car, whichever flavor you want.
Since we have to pass the speed check at 250 mph, it’s time for that Agera again! Same stock code as before: 109282883 and you should be golden.
I approached from the other side of the big loop and was doing about 260 by the time I hit the trap.
Another Super Wheelspin for your effort.
Season Championship – On Orange Alert
Sports Utility Heroes, A-class 800, and the only car worthy of the job, in my garage at least, is the Bentley Bentayga, part code: 118484657. This should be fast enough to win the championship alone, or maybe you can also drag a friend through, maybe a friend who doesn’t play as much as he used to… [oi! – Ed]

Anyway, if you win, you get a Chevrolet ZR2, which is very American indeed.
And that was it for this week. The two Monthly Rivals challenges are still in effect if you haven’t completed them yet, and as always, they’re super easy to do – just drive neatly around the Bola Ocho Circuit and the Forza EV Emerald Circuit.
From there you can grab your car rewards. Series 12 as a whole comes with the Audi RS e-tron rear 80pts and the McLaren 765LT with 160pts. Much easier to get hold of and totally grab this week are Fall’s offerings: the Audi RS 7 ’21 for 20 points and the Toyota 4Runner for 40 points.
If you don’t already own a copy of Forza Horizon 5, it’s playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via the Xbox store. It’s also on Game Pass, while the Hot Wheels expansion costs real money.
