The progress to FIFA 23The HyperMotion2 technology (only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Stadia) and the physics system have unlocked a range of new features that make the gameplay experience more immersive than ever. The movements of teams and players around the field are more responsive, smarter and more authentic, whether they’re jockeying against a defender or claiming an air ball against an attacker as a goalkeeper. Players can also look forward to a new intelligent dribbling system, a more natural and smooth transition to shooting, all-new acceleration mechanics, improved player awareness and much more. With the debut of women’s club teams, all-new animations based on the movements of real female players have been added to FIFA 23.
The most lifelike experience of The World’s Game, FIFA 23 now features women’s club teams with Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema joining the biggest stars and teams, including 19,000+ players from 700+ teams in over 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues. FIFA 23 is the only place where you can play the iconic UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander in the same game.
Today xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band) and Electronic Arts announce a unique collaboration to bring Musqueam culture into EA Sports FIFA 23.
When the game is released, FIFA 23 players will have the opportunity to play on the Musqueam-inspired Volta Football Pitch – a fictionalized representation of the real-life Musqueam football field that has brought together Indigenous athletes and fans from across the region since its unveiling in 2012. Through this partnership, Musqueam has incorporated into the game, including a Musqueam longhouse and artwork from Musqueam visual artists, sculptors, designers, and weavers.
Additionally, FIFA 23 players can unlock Volta Football apparel and FIFA Ultimate Team™ kits designed by Musqueam artists, along with FUT stadium customization elements featuring a variety of Musqueam motifs and patterns.
As EA Sports FIFA Developed primarily at EA Vancouver, the collaboration between EA Sports and Musqueam was an opportunity to celebrate local creatives and showcase their work to an audience of millions of fans around the world. Aiming to create more meaningful connections within our communities, EA Sports collaborated with ten Musqueam artists, each bringing a unique perspective and design to the environments and kits that will represent the region to a global audience of the world’s game .

In addition to the in-game artwork, this partnership results in a number of community contributions, including EA Sports who create physical kits for Musqueam footballers that bring the in-game kits to life, as well as funding upgrades for the Musqueam Field, including improved storage and storage. equipment management facilities, new targets and nets, and modified tents for shelter from inclement weather.

hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking Musqueam people have lived in the mouth of the Fraser River in British Columbia since time immemorial. Musqueam is a proud and culturally resilient First Nation of over 1,300 band members. About half of the members live in a small portion of the ancestral area known as Musqueam Reserve, south of Marine Drive in Vancouver, BC. Many of the remaining members live in Musqueam territory, now called Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and New Westminster. The land and waters of Musqueam continue to support its cultural and economic practices, while serving as a source of knowledge and memory, encoded with our teachings and laws.

When FIFA 23 launching on September 30, fans will be able to play for the first time in EA Sports FIFA as sorority teams like the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema, with some exciting additional updates to follow in the coming months. In addition, this year HyperMotion2 brings twice as much data capture to unlock new features, including female gameplay. Dedicated Advanced 11v11 Match Capture was used to record a full intensity, 11 vs 11 women’s match, with in-game animation that lets female players move more realistically than ever before.
EA Sports FIFA 23 features a variety of mode improvements and innovations in Career Mode, Pro Clubs, VOLTA Football, FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and more. The new Training Center coaching system also gives new and less experienced players the opportunity to easily learn the basics of the game and hone their skills before starting a match.
For the first time ever, fans will also have the opportunity to play both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups in the same game, with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. More details to follow on a later date.
PS5, Xbox Series X|S Stadia and PC versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible. PS4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible with each other.
FIFA 23 will be available worldwide on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2022. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition starts on September 27, 2022.
