LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has proven to be a hit with fans, curating the most comprehensive LEGO Star Wars still experienced. Offer story missions that tell the stories of all nine main strands Star Wars movies, The Skywalker Saga is also supported by a plethora of side activities and content that LEGO games have become known – including packs of unique characters to control.
That said, lots of hardcore LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga fans have already exhausted all the content this game has to offer and are eager to get their hands on more. Thankfully, it was recently announced that the title will receive a litany of new characters to explore the galaxy with, drawn from a wide variety of different Star Wars content.
The Galactic Edition of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
According to an announcement at the recent Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, new playable characters will be coming to the game. They will be additional content in a brand new release of the game known as the Galactic Edition, which comes out on November 1.
The Galactic Edition from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga includes the base game, as well as access to seven pre-existing character packs and six new ones. A lot of content is specifically tailored to the latest shows based on the Star Wars universe, bringing the game up to date so that it can remain the most comprehensive Stat Wars gaming experience.
The Clone Wars and The Book of Boba Fett Packs
The first two new character packs are coming The Skywalker Sagaare related to the Clone Wars and Boba Fett’s book television programs. The Clone Wars has been around since 2008 and became a cult classic among Star Wars fans work on the prequel trilogy during the era of the Galactic Republic. While many of the show’s characters are already in the game, the seven seasons of The Clone Wars means it has a huge roster of characters ripe for appearances.
In the meantime, Boba Fett’s book is a more recent live-action show that debuted on Disney+ and tells the story of how iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett survived his presumed death in the Sarlacc Pit and lived his remaining life on Tatooine. Although much shorter than The Clone Warsthere’s still a huge range of supporting characters that are likely to appear in this pack, such as the Wookie bounty hunter named Black Krrsantan.
Star Wars Rebels and Summer Vacation Packages
Star Wars Rebels is also set to receive its own character pack, another animated series set after the events of The Clone Wars. With its own well-received collection of Rebels and Jedi largely absent from the feature films, rebels has tons of characters worth bringing to The Skywalker Saga which may also be featured in the upcoming Disney+ Ahsoka show.
Another character pack coming to the game is the Summer Vacation pack, based on the recent non-canon animation LEGO Star Wars movie of the same name. Assembling a cast of characters from different Star Wars eras, the Summer Vacation pack will likely offer many unique skins for pre-existing figures rather than brand new additions.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor Packs
The high-profile miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi also gets its own character pack. This Disney+ show tells the story of a mentally clouded Obi-Wan who comes to terms with the fall of the Jedi Order and his own perceived failures. It features antagonistic inquisitors and classic characters at ages never seen before, such as a young princess Leia, which offers plenty of content for LEGO Star Wars mines.
Andoro is the latest of the new character packs announced for the title, based on the upcoming Disney+ show of the same name. Andoro will tell the early story of Cassian Andor, a highly influential rebel who played a pivotal role in securing the plans for the Death Star as described in the film Rogue One. While the exact details about this show’s characters are currently unknown, it can be assumed that it will have a wide variety of heroes and villains to draw from, further adding to the rich playable cast of The Skywalker Saga.
