Marvel World of Heroes, a mobile game developed by Niantic, the company behind Pokémon Go, was unveiled. We didn’t see much except that it was coming next year. The trailer was live-action, so it could be anything, but we’re expecting something akin to Pokémon Go
A Black Panther and Captain American game, set during World War II, has been revealed. We didn’t see any gameplay and only received a short cinematic trailer. However, it appears to feature four main characters, so it’s very possible that it’s a co-op multiplayer game.
Avatar: Reckoning is an MMORPG shooter that can be played on mobile devices. We’ve known this game for a while, but it’s finally shown. You can create a character, play against others and fight against wildlife or military machines.
Disney Dreamlight Valley received a short clip during the show. It recently went into early access and is currently available to play via Xbox Game Pass. It is a cute life simulator that can be easily compared to Animal Crossing. You can create your own character and interact with all kinds of Disney and Pixar characters.
A Disney kart racer named Speedstorm has been unveiled. It seems absolutely surreal, showing Sully, Moana, Micky Mouse and more vying for supremacy in an obviously dangerous series of races with a surprisingly intense EDM soundtrack to go with it. We also saw gameplay and were promised it would come “soon”.
Mirrorverse will receive a villain-based update in October, presumably one where you can play them or play against them.
Disney is bringing Gargoyles back through Gargoyles Remastered.
Return to Monkey Island, a side-scrolling point-and-click adventure game, revolves around a humorous series of pirates with fully voiced cutscenes. Return to Monkey Island on September 19.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition is coming this holiday, which appears to include additional character packs.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was briefly mentioned, but we have not received any new footage. It looks like it’s been largely ignored for now, but we can see it tomorrow on Ubisoft Forward.
Alien: Dark Descent will be available next year for consoles and PC. We received short snippets of gameplay footage for this top-down co-op shooter, but there wasn’t much to see outside of a group of Marines firing on Xenomorphs.
Marvel Snap is a trading card game where players can access tons of Marvel characters with the ‘full canon’. The aesthetic is clearly in the style of the comics, with some adopting an 8-bit style. It will be available on mobile phones from October 18.
Marvel’s Strike Force is receiving a Hulk-based update that Red Hulk is offering to players.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns has received a new gameplay trailer. In the upcoming game of Firaxis, players can play Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and many more in a strategic action game to defeat a series of demons that invade the surface world. It will launch on December 2, 2022 for Windows PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
We also saw a series of animated shorts that introduce some of the game’s biggest characters.
Illusion Island is a 2D platformer where you can play Mickey, Goofy, Minnie or Donald. It features grappling hooks, Goofy floats with a giant bottle of mustard, and seemingly hand-animated cutscenes. Think Rayman except Disney. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023.
The show kicked off with a first look at Tron Identity, which will be released sometime in 2023. However, we have seen nothing of it other than a brief plague. It can be wishlisted on Steam today, and scrolling through that page reveals that it’s actually a visual novel mixed with puzzle elements.
