10 war sword

A slower weapon option, the war sword is often used with two hands, although it can also be wielded with just one hand, but it is a lot harder to control this way. It’s a sturdier blade that some players might not enjoy due to the weight it somehow feels it has in VR, but that doesn’t stop it from being an interesting option on the battlefield.

The blade has the ability to tear apart an enemy’s limbs, although it is often thought of as a more defensive sword due to its length that keeps a player’s opponents at bay.

9 ordinary dagger

Daggers may seem like a bad choice for intense indoor combat Knife and sorceryhowever, the Common Dagger opens the way for plenty of exciting moments once the player understands the best way to dodge their enemies.

Combining the dagger with the wizards’ telekinesis abilities to knock down an opponent before killing, the dagger is a brilliant accomplice. Not to mention how easily it can be thrown at enemies, where aiming well can lead to a quick kill.

8 wristband

A common favorite of those who like to look cool while battling their opponents, one wrist blade by itself can’t do much damage, but wielding one on each wrist can turn a player into a gruesome weapon. These blades can be made even cooler by infusing them with sorcery like fire, making them even more powerful.

However, they are terrible on the defense. This is also made worse if you only use one, as players often have to block with both if they want to avoid an opponent’s attack.

7 Long Sword

It is impossible to go wrong with this classic sword as many who have ever had an interest in the medieval first thought when it comes to swords would be the Long Sword. It has many great features, from the long defensive blade to the blunt end of the hilt used to take down enemies before hitting them again.

Not only this, but the Long Sword feels a lot lighter than the War Sword. Therefore, it is a lot easier to handle with one or two hands, although it may take a few slashes to defeat an enemy.

6 Flange Warmace

This blunt power weapon has a similar length to the long sword, allowing players to take a defensive stance while also being a great weapon for disarming their opponent. It may not seem as exciting as the typical sword due to no cutting damage, but this Warmace’s blunt power can still be powerful.

To make things even better, the Flanged Warmace also has a sharpness that allows for a number of versatile attacks. The very tip of the mace can be used to take down opponents and then finish them off while they are on the ground.

5 Rapier

Some players may argue that this weapon isn’t as good as many others on the list, but the Rapier is a great sword to have in hand when taking on armored foes. Firstly, the design of this blade is beautiful, especially the hilt. Apart from that, the penetrating damage caused by this blade is extraordinary.

Players will have trouble trying to cut with the Rapier as it is not its intended use, but being nimble, parrying and approaching quickly can make this blade shine.

4 Round shield

Many might argue that a shield isn’t a weapon, but the round shield can easily take out and double up on an enemy as a great way to stay protected from an opponent. On its own there isn’t much to be impressed with, but using it effectively with a sword can make for an interesting fight.

Using combos to their advantage, a player can block an approaching enemy’s hit, knock them down with the shield, then go in with their sword to quickly kill them.

3 bardiche

Away from the swords, the Bardiche is a polar arm that many players can enjoy. Not only does it have a lot of length that makes it a great weapon to hold tightly with two hands and block oncoming hits, but it also allows the player to attack from a distance.

It is an incredibly powerful weapon, not only because of its sharp axe-like blade, but also because of the versatility in how a player can use it during combat, allowing them to experiment with different play styles.

2 Horseback Riding Sword

Although it is a short-bladed sword, the Riding Sword is by far one of the best weapons available to players. Starting with one of the issues is due to how small it is, players cannot hold this weapon in both hands for more power in their strikes, although this does give players room for a shield.

The Riding Sword is praised not for how it carves enemies, but for how brutal it is at its penetrating damage. As long as the wielder is fast on his feet, he will get close and stings will deal with a threat quickly.

1 Claymore

The Claymore is by far one of the most powerful weapons available to players in Knife and sorcery, beyond magic. It is a large sword to carry meaning players can only wield this weapon efficiently with two hands with less control in one hand, although carrying this in battle means the enemy doesn’t stand a chance.

Like another long blade, it keeps the opponent at a distance, preventing them from getting close enough to take a hit. However, the player is still open to arrows, although they can be blocked with the knife if they are skilled enough.

Blade & Wizardry is available for PC.
