Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released about ten years ago, and the counter attack franchise is much older than that, but it still has a huge player base of both casual fans and professional Twitch streamers. In fact, according to Steam stats for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the player numbers just go up. This could be due to some of the best esports tournaments out there, or maybe thanks to interesting personalities and professional competitors who create quality content on Twitch.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Now that the competitive season has started again in counter attack, streamers are likely to be activated with the increased interest in the game. While some of the best streamers can take time off during tournaments, many of them keep their form on days off by using FACEIT or playing with their friends. Some featured streamers may even jump into a Danger Zone game for entertainment value, offer expensive CS:GO skins as giveaways for viewers, or go through their planned target training regimen. With peaks of over a million concurrent players, CS:GO community provides a lucrative market for streaming talent.

s1mple

Perhaps the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who has ever walked the earth is also a Twitch streamer. When s1mple isn’t shooting the best in the world in tournaments around the world, he likes to make sure he’s never out of shape. Training is what makes even the best in one of the toughest competitive multiplayer video games even better. This one does it in public, usually joining his fellow professional players in FPL games. When he picks up the AWP or Desert Eagle, chances are there’s a Reddit clip in the works. He may not be available during grueling tournaments, but rest assured, he will be back with his 3+ million Twitch followers after taking home the trophy.

fl0m

This streamer is playing counter attack professional and semi-professional since 2012 and is one of the more active CS:GO streamers for a long time. Unlike some of the most popular Twitch streamers taking breaks, fl0m seems to be streaming constantly and with tremendous consistency. He also co-owns the gaming organization Mythic Reborn, which he currently plays counter attack professional for. While tuning in may mean hearing a few obscenities, there will also be funny commentary and top-notch gameplay at the highest level. He is also often joined by other more notable professional players to stream some of the biggest events together. That’s where their expertise, and often biting criticism, really shines.

WarOwl

This one counter attack streamer is known not only for its Twitch streams, but also for its high-quality YouTube content. WarOwl produces interesting, insightful and often humorous CS:GO content, and much of it translates to his Twitch streams. The man who refuses to come up with a closure for his YouTube videos and turned it into a meme offers FACEIT and Global Elite matchmaking gameplay with very frequent subscriber specials. In these special games, he plays with selected Twitch subscribers, often with a specific theme. The games may feature hilarious experiments that are an essential part of WarOwl’s success on YouTube with its nearly 1.5 million subscribers.

PimpCSGO

Former professional player turned Twitch streamer and commentator, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, quit his professional counter attack career a few years ago to focus on content creation. Since then, he has steadily grown his fan base by giving tips, offering top-notch gameplay, and taking on challenges for viewers. When not streaming, he is one of the commentators for some of the biggest esports tournaments in the world. He brings these insights to his streams, where viewers can expect him to answer chat questions about the latest rumors and comment on team decisions and performance.

Lobanjicaa

The Montenegrin semi-professional CS:GO player is one of the more active FACEIT grinders where he can compete against the world’s best professional players. As he stops the FPL crowd with firepower, you can see him destroy most of the time counter attack talent in Kratos-esque weightlifting endeavors. The muscular man has occasional viewer giveaways where one of his subscribers can receive skins, including knives and gloves. While his attitude may have been intimidating at first, the community of over 400,000 followers found him to be one of the most entertaining CS:GO streamers.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
